MIFFLINBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: Marietta M. Mabus, 82, died July 22, 2009 at her residence. She was born August 24, 1926 in McEwensville to Frank and Lula Hill McClintock. She was a retired certified nursing assistant at the Laurelton State School with over 26 years of service. She and her husband retired to Pulaski, NY. She enjoyed gardening, collecting cookbooks, birdwatching and traveling. She and her husband also volunteered with the Boy Scouts. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald J. and Rosalyn A. Mabus of Mifflinburg; a grandson; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eleanor Hackenburg of Millmont, and Carolyn and Theodore Catherman of Mifflinburg; her nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Mabus; and several siblings. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery by Roupp Funeral Home.
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Elizabeth Macfarlane, 87, died March 5, 1982 at Shadyside Hospital. She was a graduate of Miss Porter's School. She attended Shadyside Presbyterian Church, and was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, the Pennsylvania Society of Colonial Dames, the Pittsburgh Golf Club, the American Red Cross and the Travelers' Aid Society. She was survived by a brother, Malcolm, of Sewickley Heights. Services were held at Shadyside Presbyterian Church. Interment was at Homewood Cemetery.
LEECHBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: Margaret Hemphill Mackuliak died October 10, 2003. She was born May 2, 1923 in Fawn Township, PA to James McNeal and Ethil Snyder Hemphill. She is survived by four sons, James S. Mackuliak (Paulette) of Gilpin Township, Michael R. Mackuliak of Meriden, CT, Joseph J. Mackuliak (Bev) of Hemet, CA, and Timothy J. Mackuliak (Karen) of Fort Bragg, CA; a sister, Mary Emory of Pocatello, ID; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Mackuliak; her parents; and a brother, Neal Hemphill. Services were held at Christ The King Church. Burial was at St. Catherine Cemetery by Clawson Funeral Home.
PITTBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: John W. Macurak, Sr., 45, died October 29, 1952. He was the husband of Teresa Heinzel Macurak; the father of Joseph, John, Jr. and Teresa Macurak; and was also survived by four brothers and three sisters. Burial was at Loretto Cemetery under the direction of Charles C. Cieslak Funeral Home.
OAKMONT, PENNSYLVANIA: Capt. Warren Frank Magor, 46, died October 12, 1979 at the Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA. He was born July 24, 1933 to Rev. Frank and Alice Cady Magor. He was a U.S. Navy chaplain. He was a graduate of Lafayette College and Union Theological Seminary, and held a master's degree from the Princeton Theological Seminary. He joined the Marines in 1955, and served two tours of duty in Vietnam, one with the Navy and the other with the Marines. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Magor; two sons, George and Frank Magor; a sister, Norma Peters; and a brother, Dr. Robert Magor. Interment was at Arlington National Cemetery.
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Samuel H. Maharri, 75, died February 16, 1936 at the McKeesport Hospital. He was married to Ella B. Foster Maharri. Services were held at his residence. Burial was at Richland Cemetery.
WASHINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA: William Majikitis died February 18, 1964. He was born June 3, 1888 in Poland. He had been in the U.S. for over 50 years, and worked as a coal miner for 45 years, last working at the Tyler Mine of Hillman Coal and Coke Co. He was a member of St. Hilary Catholic Church. Survivors include two sisters in Europe; and a brother, Joseph of Shamokin. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery under the direction of Abel Funeral Home.
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Elizabeth Agnes Maladey died March 7, 1948 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was the daughter of Daniel and Mary Maladey. She was a retired public school music supervisor, and had also taught voice at Duquesne University. She was preceded in death by siblings, Sr. Mary Basil Maladey, Rev. John Maladey and Rev. Daniel J. Maladey. Services were held at Holy Rosary Church. Arrangements were handled by McCabe Funeral Home. Note: One record spells the last name Malady.
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Fr. Francis X. Malinowski, 81, died July 11, 2006 at St. Clair Hospital. He was born November 26, 1924 in Mahanoy City, PA. He held a bachelor's degree in philosophy, and studied at St. Mary Seminary and Fordham University. He later attended Fribourg University in Switzerland. He was a visiting scholar in Heidelberg, Germany and at Cambridge University, and earned a doctoral degree from Duke University. He was ordained with the Congregation of the Holy Spirit in 1950 at Holy Ghost Seminary in Chevilly, France. He was a former theology department chairman at Duquesne University, and superior of the Spiritan Community at Trinity Hall. He served as a Catholic priest for over 55 years, and was assistant pastor at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Philadelphia, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Pittsburgh, and parochial vicar of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Monroe, NC. He was a French teacher and athletic coach at St. Emma Military Academy in Rock Castle, VA, and taught at St. Mary Seminary in Norwalk, CT. He was chaplain for the Sisters of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Danville, PA. He was a sports enthusiast, and was very active in high school and college sports, especially football and basketball. He played football for Fordham University. He is survived by three sisters, Dolores Fiorentino of Hellertown, and Joan DiSalle and Eleanor Tirimacco, both of McMurray; four brothers, Conrad Malinowski of McCandless, Leonard Malinowksi of State College, Jack Malinowski of Philadelphia, and Daniel Malinowski of Hampton; and his nieces and nephews, including Kira Tirimacco of Los Angeles. Services were held at the Spiritan Center in Bethel Park. Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery in O'Hara Township.
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Daniel M. Maloney died February 2, 1938. He was born in Rochester, PA. He was a retired mail carrier. Survivors include his wife, Catherine O'Leary Maloney; a daughter, Mrs. R.K. Reznor; and a sister, Mrs. William C. Murray. Services were held at St. Bede's Church. Arrangements were handled by Freyvogel Funeral Home.
WAYNESBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: Carmine Mancuso, 73, died February 22, 1940. He was born in Italy on April 1, 1866 to Tony and Nellie Barelli Mancuso. He was married to Frances Rizzo Mancuso, and had eight children. Burial was at St. Ann Cemetery with arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home.
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Dr. Joseph W. Mandelblatt, 70, died October 5, 1973. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Dental School, and had been a dentist in the Pittsburgh area for 49 years. He was a member of Rodef Shalom Congregation, the Pennsylvania Odontological Society and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Mandelblatt; a son, Carl Mandelblatt of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Lois (Bernard) Fradkin of West Hempstead, NY; two brothers, Sydney and Morris Mandelblatt; a sister, Rose Levine; and a granddaughter. Services were held at Burton L. Hirsch Chapel. Interment was at the West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation.
WEST CHESTER, PENNSYLVANIA: Mary Jane Mann died March 9, 2009 at Brandywine Hall in West Chester. She was born June 26, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA to James A. and Helen Gilchrist Mann. She was an accountant for Bell Telephone Co. in Philadelphia with 44 years of service, and was a charter member of Chadds Ford Baptist Church. She was the family historian, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and collecting model trains. Survivors include a sister, Helen E. Mann Rehberg (George B.) of Westbrook, CT; 2 nephews; a niece; and her great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Charlotte Mann and Virginia A. Mann. Services were held at Chadds Ford Baptist Church. Interment was at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill.
LEBANON, PENNSYLVANIA: Michael Maransky, 101, died December 26, 2010 at the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born December 20, 1909 in Philadelphia to John and Vida Prodanov Maransky. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Company, and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He attended Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church, and was a member of the American Legion, the Friendship Fire Company, and the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Jean M. Lauer Maransky; a sister, Olga (Jesse) Gettle of Dothan, AL; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two stepdaughters, Cheryl and Carol Boltz; two sisters, Kathryn Uhrich and Mitzi Maransky; and a brother, William "Brownie" Maransky. Services were held at Holy Resurrection of Christ Serbian Orthodox Church. Interment was at Mount Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Rohland Funeral Home.
PENN HILLS, PENNSYLVANIA: Joseph A. Maranto, 59, died September 23, 2003. He was born September 5, 1944 in Pittsburgh. He was a retired auto parts salesman and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Italian American Club in Oakmont, and enjoyed antique cars and motorcycles. He was a former resident of Oakmont. Survivors include a daughter, Gina Maranto of Wheeling, WV; a sister, Jennifer Musgrave; a brother, David Maranto; a brother-and sister-in-law, Ruth Maranto and Joseph Musgrave; and his friends, including Joseph and Jennifer Matassa. Interment was at Plum Creek Cemetery under the direction of Burket-Truby Funeral Home.
TRAFFORD, PENNSYLVANIA: Amedeo "Jake" Marcon, 82, died November 9, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 10, 1928 in Harrison City to Cleto D. and Angela Marcon. He was a retired diesel mechanic at Angesco, Inc., and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Shirley Marcon; two children, Karen Nagy (Gary) of Springdale, and Keith Marcon of Pittsburgh; a brother, Mario (Teresa) Marcon of Harrison City; two sisters, Emma DeVitis of Greensburg, and Beatrice A. Lapina of Jeannette; 2 grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Angeline "Cookie" Robinson; and a brother, Cleto Marcon, Jr. Services were held at Paintertown Evangelical Lutheran Church. Entombment with military honors was at Twin Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum with arrangements by John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home.
ALIQUIPPA, PENNSYLVANIA: Evelyn S. Marcus died March 3, 1984 at Montefiore Hospital. She is survived by three brothers, Milton Selkovits, Dr. Sidney Selkovits, and Samuel Selkovits; a sister, Mrs. Belle S. Kraus; a brother-in-law, David Itzkovitz; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harry Marcus. Interment was at Shaare Zedeck Cemetery under the direction of Ralph Schugar Chapel.
NEW KENSINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA: Milton Marcus, 96, died February 5, 2003. He was born March 11, 1906. He was a retired buyer and manager for the ladies' sportswear and accessories departments at Hart's Department Store. He was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a staff sergeant with Company B of the 309th Infantry. He was a charter member of the New Kensington Lions Club, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was also a founding member of Adat Shalom B'nai Israel Beth Jacob Synagogue. He is survived by a niece, Elaine Bortz of Englewood, NJ; and two nephews, Edwin Hart of Tampa, FL, and Alan Marcus of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham Isaac and Rebecca Marcus; two brothers, Louis and Herman Marcus; and two sisters, Ida Hart and Sarah Sobol. Burial was at Beth Jacob Cemetery under the direction of Ross G. Walker Funeral Home.

She was a member of the Beth Jacob and Beth Shalom congregations, and was also a member of Hadassah, the Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged, and the Jewish Home for Babies. Survivors include two brothers, Meyer A. Minsky and Louis M. Minsky, both of Pittsburgh. Interment was at Beth Shalom Cemetery in Millvale.
SOUTH GREENSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: Thomas Goodwin Miskill, Sr., 48, died December 6, 1936 at his residence. He was a Pennsylvania State Police officer. He served in the U.S. Navy for 17 years, and was a veteran of the Mexican War and World War I. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was survived by his wife, Margaret Miskill; four children, Donald, Thomas, Jr., Alan and William, all of the home; a sister, Margaret LaCoppidan of Portsmouth, VA; and two brothers, William J. KENNEDY TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA: Alpheus P. "Bud" Mitchell, Sr., 82, died August 24, 1978 at the Ohio Valley General Hospital. He was a champion Beagle breeder and a field representative for the American Kennel Club. and was elected to the Beagle Hall of Fame in 1958. He was especially well known for his dog, Fd. Ch. Pine Hollow Nifty. Before raising Beagles, he owned a chain of Maytag stores. He was a former deacon at Kenmawr United Presbyterian Church, and was a Mason. Survivors include his wife, Helen Mitchell; two sons, John and Alpheus P. Mitchell, Jr.; two daughters Diane Mitchell and Patricia Powell; three sisters, Peggy Yates, Rachel Palmer and Mary Thomas; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. CONCORD TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA: Nicholas L. Mitrovic, 55, died June 26, 1975 at the Veterans' Hospital in Elsmere, DE. He was born December 4, 1919 in Cleveland, OH. He owned Jan's Restaurant in Concord, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 77th Division. He had lived in the Concordville-Glen Mills for about 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion and a former member of the Concordville Fire Co. UPPER ALLEN TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA: John W. Mizerak, 63, died June 4, 1997 at his residence. He was born September 17, 1933 in Little Falls, NY. He retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and was a former sales manager at Varityper Corp. in Harrisburg. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was past president of the Central Pennsylvania Club of Printing House Craftsmen, and a founding member and past president of Elbow Club International. He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. POTTSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA: Charles A. "Chuck" Moffett, 77, died August 22, 2008. He was born April 1, 1931 to the late Onus and Beulah Sorrels Moffett. He was a chef, and worked at a number of area restaurants. He was a 15-year veteran of the U.S. Army, and served during the Korean War. He was a member of AMVETS Post #180. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris L. Sr. Batildis entered the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Convent in 1921, and was a graduate of the University of Dayton. WELLSBORO, PENNSYLVANIA: Edith R. Morley, 73, died March 21, 1958. She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church, and was a native of Middlebury Center. He studied electrical engineering at Temple University and Drexel University, and was a plant manager with American Can, Owens Illinois Insulation, and Bruters Paint. He was a past board member of the American Civic Organization, the Serbian National Federation Lodge #37, and the VFW. He enjoyed sports, and was a former member of the Steel-High Roller Club. Survivors include three sisters, Mildred Belic, Helen Miscevich, and Olga Klipa, all of Steelton; two nephews; four nieces; and his great-nieces and great-nephews. WEST MIFFLIN, PENNSYLVANIA: Fr. Thomas Regis Murphy died September 19, 2010. He was born June 4, 1911 to John and Roseann Murphy, both of whom were from County Down, Ireland. He studied at Duquesne University and St. Vincent Seminary, and held bachelor's and master's degrees. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 14, 1936 at St. Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe. As a child, he sang at Carnegie Hall as a soloist at the age of 12. He played violin with the Duquesne University Symphony Orchestra for 8 years, and sang on radio. He also wrote songs that were performed by local orchestras, and enjoyed acting and theatre. He served as assistant at St. Canice in Knoxville and St. Pius Church in McKeesport, and as pastor of St. Anne's Church in Waynesburg, and Resurrection Church in West Mifflin. He was a published poet, and wrote two books. He was the Catholic commentator for Radio Station WEDO. Survivors include two nephews, John Murphy and Thomas Boyle; two nieces, Denise Davie and Cathleen LeClair; his great-nieces and great-nephews; and a godson. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Teresa Murphy Boyle, and Daniel, Rose, Maria, Margaret, Christopher, and John Murphy. Services were held at Resurrection Church. WASHINGTON, PENNSYLVANIA: David Franklin Murr, 77, died January 27, 1980 at Washington Hospital. He was born March 25, 1902 in Maryville, TN to Carl and Lillie Murr. He was a miner at the Lincoln Hill, Ellsworth, Coverdale and Manifold mines with 38 years of service, and had also worked in construction for 12 years. PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Sr. Mary Andrea Nagurney (Anna), OSBM, 92, died June 28, 2004. She was born in Jessup, PA to Nicholas and Mary Fechina) Nagurney. She held degrees in math and physics from Catholic University in Washington, DC, and also attended Rosemont College, St. John College, and Villanova University. She entered the Sisters of St. Basil the Great in 1931 and professed vows in 1940. She was a retired teacher at St. Basil Academy, having taught from 1956 until 1983, and also taught at schools in Cleveland, OH, Chester, and New Kensington. Following retirement, she was a math and English tutor. She was a former Secretary to the Provincial, and was a Provincial Treasurer for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening and playing the piano. Survivors include a sister, Mary Nagurney Dakunchak; two nephews, Michael Nagurney and Peter Dakunchak; and her grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Services were held at Holy Trinity Chapel in Fox Chase Manor. Interment was at the Convent Cemetery under the direction of Fletcher-Nasevich Funeral Home.

She and her husband enjoyed collecting antiques. She had lived in Souderton since 1934. CRAFTON, PENNSYLVANIA: Rev. Marcus A. O'Brien died January 17, 1989 at the Vincentian Home for the Chronically Ill. He was born February 21, 1904. He was a longtime director of the Catholic Social Service Office of Beaver County. He was a native of McKeesport, PA. He studied at St. Vincent College and Seminary in Latrobe, and was ordained in 1942. He earned a master's degree in social work from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. He served at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Lawrenceville, Holy Sepulcher Church in Glade Mills, St. Catherine of Siena Church in Beechview, St. Jerome Church in Charleroi, St. Rose Church in Darlington, St. Peter Church in Tarentum, Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Beaver, and St. Ladislaus Church in Beaver Falls. Survivors include a sister, Sister M. Emily O'Brien of Baden; a sister-in-law, Helen (Victor) O'Brien of Bellevue; and his nieces and nephews. Services were held at Ss. Peter and Paul Church. She was born in Poland to Francis and Julianna Pawlowski. She and her family moved to Steubenville, OH. She later attended the Seminary of the Felician Sisters in Detroit, MI, as well as earning a degree in nursing from Duquesne University. She entered the Felician Sisters in 1926, and made her final vows in 1934. She served in health care for over 50 years in multiple states, and had also taught in Catholic elementary schools. For 6 years, she was also a provincial counselor. She had been a member of her order for 77 years. Survivors include a sister, Mary Bartyzel of Dillonvale, OH; her nieces and nephews; and her religious community. Services were held at St. Joseph Church. Interment was at the Felician Cemetery in Moon by Sanvito Funeral Home.

ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA: Sr. Ann Prisco, RSM, died March 23, 2012 at the Sisters of Mercy Motherhouse. She was born April 12, 1932 in Hornell, NY to Nicholas and Angeline Falco Prisco. She entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1950. She made her final profession of vows on August 2, 1956. She had been in religious life for 62 years. She held a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Mercyhurst College, and also studied at St. John's College in Cleveland and New Platz University in New York. She was a teacher at many different schools, including St. Titus and St. Wallburga (Titusville), Immaculate Conception (Brookville), Ss. Cosmas and Damien (Punxsutawney), St. Michael (Greenville), St. Hedwig, St. Boniface, and St. Luke (Erie), St. Thomas (Corry), St. Catherine (DuBois), St Michael (Fryburg), and St. Justin (Pittsburgh Diocese). She was a CCD Coordinator and pastoral minister at St. Basil in Coalport and St. Luke in Erie. She was also coordinator of the Prayer Shawl Ministry at the Sisters of Mercy Motherhouse, and served as an infirmary driver for elderly sisters. Survivors include two sisters, Caroline (Thomas) Wood, and Teresa (Thomas) Shea; a niece; two nephews; and her religious community. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Prisco. Services were held at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel. Interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery by Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home.
RESERVE TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA: William Raymond Prom was killed in combat during the Vietnam War on February 9, 1969. He was a posthumous recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. He was a graduate of Millvale High School, where he played baseball and football. He enjoyed sports, and liked to keep up with local sports scores even though he was serving overseas. He was considering entering the police force after military service. She had been a nun with the Sisters of St. Francis for over 75 years, and was the oldest member of her religious community at Mount Alvernia in Millvale. She was born February 6, 1854 in Germany. She came to the U.S. as a child. She entered the Community of the Sisters of St. Francis in 1874, and made her perpetual vows in 1878. She was a parish school teacher in the Pittsburgh and Altoona dioceses for over 50 years. She became the local superior at the Sisters of St. Francis Hospital in New Castle, and also served at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh. Services were held at St. Francis Chapel at Mount Alvernia. Interment was at the Mount Alvernia Cemetery.

Following retirement to his Farm House Studio at Sandy Lake, he did freelance work until his passing. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army 80th Infantry Division and transferring to the Army Air Force as a B-17 bomber pilot. He was a Catholic. PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Rev. David L. Smith, 79, CSSP, died July 21, 2011. He was born October 24, 1931 in Berwinsdale, PA. He made a profession of vows in 1953, and was ordained to the priesthood on July 20, 1958 at St. Michael Church in Fribourg, Switzerland. He was a psychology professor at Duquesne University. He was pastor of St. Ann Parish in Millvale, PA, and was appointed superior of the Trinity Hall community. He received three appointments as provincial bursar, and was named superior of the Spiritan community in Florida in 2004. In 2006, he retired to Trinity Hall in Pittsburgh. Survivors include two nieces, Alice Wilson of Santa Cruz, CA, and Roseanna Ward of Oakland, CA. Services were held at the Duquesne University Chapel. McDONALD, PENNSYLVANIA: George R. Smith died May 30, 1944. He was killed in action in Germany while serving as a gunner with the 8th Air Force. DELTA, PENNSYLVANIA: W. James Steele, 82, died July 29, 2005. He was born April 20, 1923 to John and Mary L. Maglaughlin Steele. He was a retired engineering technician at Edgewood Arsenal in Maryland with over 25 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a life member of the Delta Fish and Game Association, and a past commander of John S. Murphy VFW Post #7130. He was also a member of the American Legion. Survivors include a daughter, Tania Steele of Delta; a stepdaughter, Patricia D. Fantom of Delta; a sister, Margaret Shoulberg of Budd Lake, NJ; and his nieces and nephews. MOUNT LEBANON, PENNSYLVANIA: Roland E. Steifel, 64, died March 13, 1992 at St. Clair Memorial Hospital. He was a piano technician. He was a graduate of the Emil Fries Piano Training Center in Vancouver, WA, and the Kansas State School for the Blind. He was a piano tuner for the Pittsburgh Board of Education, and was later self-employed doing jobs for universities and stores. He was past president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Piano Technicians' Guild. He came to the Pittsburgh area from Kansas in 1955. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Buckwalter Steifel; a foster daughter, Merna Latimer of Carnegie; and three sisters, Fern Bailey of Hesperia, CA, Viola Vonderheide of Upland, CA, and Julia Endsley of Barstow, CA. Services were held at the Allegheny Center Alliance Church. Interment was at Midway Mennonite Cemetery in Columbiana, OH under the direction of Slater Funeral Home.

He was a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College, where he later served as dean, and was vice-president of Lincoln Chiropractic College in Lincoln, IN. He was a member of the National Chiropractic Association and past president of the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Society. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society. Survivors include his wife, Alice Stenbach; a son, Dr. Leigh Steinbach; two daughters, Sylvia Chauvin and Virginia Starr; four brothers, Clarence, Albert J., Jerome H. and Edward P.; two sisters, Leona Miller and Emma Klinger; and 6 grandchildren. PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Archie Edward Steinberg died March 30, 1949. He owned Arnold Packing Company.
