SCOTT CEMETERY
This is a rural cemetery. It is a small, fenced cemetery that is well-kept and still in use. To get there, go to downtown Prairie Grove, Arkansas via Highway 62. From there, take Washington County Road 28 south. Then get on County Road 21 south. From there, turn right onto Washington County Road 284 (Note: there are other directions online stating that you should take County Road 283. Do not take that road. The directions are wrong. Take County Road 284, instead). You will only be on County Road 284 briefly. Watch carefully on the right for a turn onto County Road 405. This is a dirt road. The cemetery is on this road, but it will take you a little while to reach it. Look for the cemetery on your right. It is fenced, and plainly reads, "Scott Cemetery".
An asterisk (*) indicates a person stated by funeral home records to be in this cemetery, but whose headstone I did not personally see. That does not mean the stone isn't there; it just means that I didn't see it on this particular trip. Also, there were quite a few fieldstones marking anonymous graves, and several stones that were unreadable.
This cemetery was transcribed on September 15, 2005 by Shannon Seyler. Write archangel505@yahoo.com with questions, corrections or comments.
