General Rumors
This page shows all of the recent rumors many people have stated online about future books. Read them and they might prove to be interesting.
- "With all the rumors about the Green Flame Torch and J.K. Rowling having said that Harry having his mother's eyes will be very important and what with the rumor on your page about a secret about Lily Potter being told...I got an idea! Okay, Harry has green eyes, Lily Potter has green eyes, the Green Flame Torch would be green (duh), and there's a flash of green light during Harry's battle with Voldemort. A lot of green, eh? :) So...I was thinking, what if Lily's and Harry's eyes and the Green Flame Torch and the flash of green light are somehow all interconnected and that has to do with the secret about Lily? Just an idea...
- Crookshanks is, as Rowling said herself in one interview, a "very smart cat". Like Scabbers the rat, Crookshanks may also be a wizard in disguise. Mrs. Figg liked cats a lot, as I remember, and someone has already mentioned that Dumbledore referred at the end of the fourth book to an Arabella Figg, and she may be a witch set to look after Harry."
- It seems unlikely somehow that Ludo Bagman and Karkaroff will not appear again, and I think we will be hearing more from the Lestranges, the married couple among Voldemort's followers who are now in Azkaban. Snape and maybe even Draco Malfoy will probably be redeemed in the end, certainly I would think that Snape would be.
- I think that Wormtail will finally turn against Voldemort or try to protect Harry in some way, judging by how unwillingly he follows his old master, and also or rather especially because Dumbledore already told Harry when Wormtail escaped that Wormtail is in Harry's debt, since Harry saved his life when Lupin and Sirius would have killed him.
- "I have two things to mention, left unresolved in the books so far. For one thing, when Harry's parents come out of Voldemort's wand in the fourth book, Lily Potter appears after James Potter, though she was supposed to have died first, and the wand spits out the ghosts of those it had killed in REVERSE order. Then, when Voldemort puts the Imperius Curse on Harry, it is mentioned that it is the third time in Harry's life that he has suffered this curse, or the peculiar symptoms of this curse as Rowling describes them. However, I can only figure out one other time when Harry has had the Imperius Curse put on him, which was in Moody's class. And while Moody put the curse on Harry several times until he could shake it off entirely, he put the Imperius Curse on Harry no less than FOUR times on that one occasion, so it cannot be that Rowling is counting each of these times separately. The symptoms of a Memory Charm seem similar to the symptoms of the Imperius Curse as Rowling describes them, so either Harry has been put under the Imperius Curse once before in his life, or he has been given a Memory Charm before.
- Norbert will come back and help in future HP books.
- "I think it is unlikely that Snape had any part in killing Harry's parents because Snape apparently changed sides well before the end of Voldemort's reign and Harry's parents were killed at the end of Voldemort's reign."
- "The grey lady, she seems important, in previous interviews Miss Rowling say that a deal about ghosts and a deal about Lily Potter will be revealed, I doubt Harry's father is really Voldemort, but there are clues. Like that Voldemort had messy black hair, just like Harry's. Why would Ms. Rowling put that in the second book if it wasn't important, and why is the grey lady so hidden, could this possibly mean that Voldemort is Harry's father and that's why he wanted to kill Harry in the first place, could Dumbledore already know this? And could Lily Potter be the grey lady? You just have to wonder..."
- "Ron and Hermione will fall for each other, because Ron is so jealous of Krum he ripped off the arm of the plastic Krum doll, and when Fleur gave Ron a Kiss and whenever Ron complimented Fleur Hermione was really jealous."
- Here is a rumor that concerns Book 5/6/7...I guess I should've put it on each of those pages but oh well...: "In book 5/6/7, Dumbledore will tell Harry why Voldemort was after the Harry. Dumbledore even says he will in the 1st book."
- "I think Dumbledore's evil because somewhere from Book 4 (Veritaserum?) Harry told Dumbledore that Voldemort was able to touch his face without pain and Harry thought he saw a flash of triumph in Dumbledore's eyes." FREAKY!
- "You know how Voldemort came back to power by using the bone of his father, who he killed. Right, well what did Barty Crouch's son do when he killed his father? He turned him into a bone. So, do you think that Voldemort is going to allow his most devoted follower to remain in a soul-less state if he can help otherwise? I think, that we haven't seen the last of devious Barty, Jr."
- "Isn't it possible that Harry's parents were Aurors? They might've almost caught Voldemort and maybe that's why Voldemort killed them."
- "There's a kid at Hogwarts named Nott. There is a Death Eater named Nott. My guess is, Nott will be evil in the end."
- "If you read closely in Chapter 33 of the fourth book, you find where Voldemort walks around the circle of Death Eaters. When he comes to the spot of six missing people he says three are dead, one is at Hogwarts, one is running from him, and one he thinks has left him forever. If you consider this, plus what he adds and the other events in the book, you can piece together a puzzle: Voldemort says three are dead. Nothing else can become of them, right? He also says one is at Hogwarts. We learn that this is Crouch. Voldemort continues by saying one is running from him and that he will pay. We can guess that this is Karkaroff because he fled the night that Voldemort arose. The last thing he said was that he feared one had turned from him completely and that he would die. Unless there is another Death Eater that we are unaware of, this leaves Snape. My prediction is that in book 5, 6, or 7, Snape will be killed by Voldemort.
- Snape was always in love with Harry's mom (Lily) and she had liked James, so Snape hated James. He hates Harry because he is James and LILY'S son.
- Peter Pettigrew is Neville Longbottom's real father.
- "Everyone seems to keep going on and on about Voldemort being Harry's real dad, but it would be more plausable that Voldemort was LILY'S dad. Remember that Voldemort went to Hogwarts at the same time as Hagrid, and that was many years before James, Lily, Lupin, Sirius, etc. went, I think it was about a decade or two. Therefore it's more likely that, if Voldemort is related to Harry, it's as his grandfather. I've read that we'll be shocked when we find out Lily's maiden name...Riddle would be very shocking."
- Voldemort is Harry's father or related to him to some degree.
- In Book Four James came out of the wand BEFORE Lily, which can not be because James died first and the most recent victims came first so Lily would emerge before James. So maybe Harry's parents used the Polyjuice Potion, and James became Lily, and Lily became James. Maybe they new Voldemort was coming for them that night, that's why they used the potion, because Lily was more powerful than James and they both knew she could buy more time for Harry and James to run for it.
- Hermione will find a new friend that's a girl that Ron and Harry will find EXTREMELY annoying - maybe Ginny! Also, Ginny will find someone new! (Namely Colin Creevey? They share the same love for Harry.)
- Dumbledore said that one day Harry would be grateful that he saved Pettigrew's life, and that old magic meant that Pettigrew was now in debt to Harry, it might mess up Voldemort's plans. Also, Jim the Red tells us that in another book Peter Pettigrew will come back and save Harry in some way because he is in debt to Harry right now. (Kind of like how Snape was indetted to Harry's father so he saved Harry in his first year.)
- Harry is an heir of Godric Gryffindor! Harry's birthday is in July, so his birth consellation is Leo the Lion, when Harry first waved his wand, red and gold sparks came out (Gryffindor's colors), he pulled Godric Gryffindor's sword out of the Sorting Hat, and his parents died in Godric's Hollow.
- "I have major reason to believe that Crookshanks is, in fact, Ms. Figg. She appeared in book 1 (Potter's babysitter when the Dursley's went out, page 22 in the American Edition) and 4 (At the end where Dumbledore told Sirius to contact Arabella Figg, page 713 American). In book one, Figg constantly showed Harry pictures of cats at her house. That was my first clue, but in the fourth book, it seems as if it has to be her. Voldemort, when speaking to the Death Eaters (page 657, American) he states, "Dumbledore invoked an ancient magic, to ensure the boy's protection as long as he is in his relations' care." Who was that ancient magic, that witch he was talking about? Figg!!"
- "I think that Casie has a point about the eyes and I think that Lily's pleads to Voldemort got mixed in with the curse Avada Kedavra. It would make sense. Haven't you noticed that Harry always is able to fight dark forces with a slight amount of ease?"
- "Harry won't be able to find it in himself to kill Voldemort (In Book 3, Harry doesn't kill Sirius, in spite of the terrible things he thinks Sirius has done. He doesn't let Sirius and Lupin kill Pettigrew, either).
- Voldemort's death comes through fault of his own. Dumbledore had a look of triumph in his eyes at the end of Book 4. That is because Voldemort has a bit of Harry's blood in him, making him more vulnerable and able to die."
