I am here!!!! Three lovely weeks in Cali!! I’m house-sitting for my cousin and his wife while they are in France. All I have to do is water the plants everyday. Tough job, isn't it?
I am so glad to escape the Midwest during January. It was 29 degrees and wind chill of -09 when I left. Brrrrrrr.
You should see this house! It is right out of House Beautiful! Mary is a decorator...French doors everywhere!...six bedrooms, three baths, black marble kitchen counters, soaring ceilings, a patio of the most gorgeous pink-colored stone. And over the garage is this secret room that is only tall enough to walk in down the very center. It is filled with huge Oriental velvet cushions with tassels. What a place! All mine for two weeks.
Before they left Mary showed me a doll she bought for their daughter Kala...$385 and it has adoption papers. How weird! She also took me shopping. She thinks nothing of dropping $500 on a shirt. Yow! Those of us living in the backbone of the bread basket don't do that kinda stuff.
They left me a note that says, “Please eat the boxes of filets and mini-lobsters in the frig.” Sure thing!
They also left info on Black Bear. I plan to go skiing up there the weekend after they return. Actually I think I would have more fun snowboarding. You still "board", don't you? Remember the fun we had at Racing Willie's zipping around and rolling in the snow?
I was thinking it would be cool if you flew in next week. What do you think? The flight from Seattle can’t take that long and we could have sooooo much fun. I need someone to help me eat this food...and other things :)

P.S. We can go down to Malibu. I heard this was an old hippie stomping ground. Let’s see if any are still kicking it here. Oh, and of course there will be bleached blonde thong-girlies for you to ogle! Have I tempted you yet?
