Hiya Eddie,

Evan is still talking about Mickey and all of the fun we had in Florida. I am so glad I had the caricature done. My son does look adorable, but I guess all children are cute at 3. Jennifer is such a cutie too. You and Rachael made a beautiful daughter.

We were a bit crazy to take our children and run off on an impromptu vacation to your parents seaside motel. Living on oranges and hollering “C’mon Bones!” everytime u started that old thing you call a van. And, Logan was generous enough to let me go. I guess he trusted you, his best friend, and me, his wife.

Eddie, the things that happened between us, things that never should have, can’t go on. We are home now. Logan is still pissed that your wife received a postcard from us before he did. I told him I sent them the same day. He doesn’t believe me. And as for you and me running out to create a new life in Tennessee...that isn’t going to happen.

Maybe we spent too much time with each other, hours upon hours while we traveled those 1000s of miles. Maybe I have been married too long. Maybe I just like the idea of another man desiring me.

Whatever it was. It is over. The idea of "us" back in the light of a Michigan spring doesn't look possible. Even though when I told you that I may be just using you, you said "Please do." It still doesn't make it right.

I am glad that we never tasted the whole forbidden fruit. Perhaps that will allow us to go back to what we were: you, my husband’s best friend and me, my husband’s dear wife.

I hope all of this makes sense. Please realize that I like the life I have. Let’s never speak of this again.

Your Pal,

Caroline
