Writings by Danielle:

April 6, 2001 Why I Must Leave

You ask me why I must leave.
I tell you that I have to find what path
I need to follow. What is my purpose
in life? Where does the Lord want me?
I need to spread out my wings like an eagle
and soar, explore new things.
And you ask me why I must leave?
I need to live life to it's fullest.
I cannot just sit down and watch the rest
of the world pass me by. I cannot waste my
life like that. I need to spread my eagle wings
and soar, trying new things.
You ask me why I must leave.
There is only one answer to that question.
So why must I leave?
Because I'm free.

April 3, 2001 The Sky

Where does the sky begin?
Are we actually part of the sky?
Where does the sky end?
What is in that endless thing above us?
There are clouds of course, but the
Beauty of the sky I believe, is the
Stars, the moon, and the sun.
The stars always seem to guide
People, or give them peace.
The moon is a silver shining
Light source.
The sun gives us heat, light,
And happiness.
The best most beautiful thing
About the sky is knowing Heaven
And all of it's beauty is there just
Waiting for me when I go.
Everything up in the sky and
Even the earth we walk on is a miracle.

Some Inspirational Notes from Danielle 2-19-99

-If you judge people, you have no time to love them.
-A friend is a gift you give yourself.
-It takes a lot of understanding, time and trust to gain a close friendship.
-Friends are the most precious assets.
-All you need is love.
-The family-that dear octopus from whose tentacles we never quite escape, nor, in our inmost hearts, ever quite wish to.
-My mom is my hero. She never gave up once.
-First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.
-There are two choices, two paths to take, one if easy, the only reward is that it's easy.
-If God can work through me, he can work through anyone.
-Peace like charity begins at home.
-Kindness in words creates confidence.
-Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
-Kindness in giving creates love.
-Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.
-The greatest gift is a portion of yourself.
-If you would be loved, love and be lovable.
-To give pleasure to a single heart by a single act is better than a thousand heads bowing in prayer.
-You never know what happiness a simple act of kindness will bring about.
-What's important in life is how we treat each other.
-The more we know the better we forgive. Whoever feels deeply, feels for all who live.
-When it comes right down to it, we all just want to be loved.
-The experience:that most brutal of teachers. But you learn, my God you learn.
-I try to remember everybody doesn't have to love me, it's okay, it's okay to make mistakes, other people are okay, and I'm okay, I don't have to control things, I am responsible for my day. I can handle it when things go wrong, it's important to try, I am capable, I can change, other people can change, and I'm flexible.
-In the darkest hour the soul is replenished and given strength to endure shared joy is double joy. Share sorrow is half sorrow.
-You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face, you are able to say to yourself, "I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."

I'll miss you forever Danielle. :*(
