Spoken In passing, About Passing... (sorry, but it needs to be big so might take a minute to load)

This is a Mahant. He's a Hindu holy man. I found a picture of him in a very old National Geographic from the Seventies. When I started drawing it, I was thinking it'd be something along the same lines as "Crosby" warm, inviting, sorta simplistic, and funny. But I started putting little lines in there, and more and more little lines. Soon enough, it was looking really good. I had no choice but to color him, scraping together the last vapors out of my brown ink bottle, (I can't find one in the stores either, I'm gonna be sad), and finally bottling an orange mix (woo hoo). This is one of those pictures that makes you happy when you're finished with it. This was originally called "The Mahant" but over the day I figured that was a boring name. So I gave it a new one. The title comes from a poem I just wrote, it's not good yet, but I liked that little couplet.
