The Land of Fractalia
The quest for symmetry goes on, with some stunning success.
I spend hours - far too many, I suppose - searching for perfection. Sometimes I find it, or something close enough. My main obsession is symmetry, but I also appreciate dynamically balanced compositions.
This site needed to be updated, so I went whole-hog with a new CSS layout (not quite finished) and new fractals. For the new galleries I have first chosen a selection of 512x512 images, mainly to make coding easier. They range in KB size from a little over 300 on down. They can be displayed one by one by clicking the thumbnail images on the gallery pages, or you can go through them using the sequential links on the individual pages. I may add other sizes later, a gallery of smaller ones and/or some larger square and desktop-size.
All of these beauties were made with Fractal Explorer.
IrfanView is the best tool for resizing, format conversion, and many post-processing jobs.
Don't blame me for the slow page loading; my code is clean. This page and all its images weigh in at around 65KB. It's not my files, but the ads and javascript that take all the time. Angelfire demands a high payment for "free" space, and you pay it. Sorry, but I couldn't afford anything more when I set this site up, and I still can't.
