Wind horse Workshop 2010

Learning intensive for the studying the energies of the horse in the shaman traditions. Assateaque island offer one of the few places on the eastcoast to interact with wild horses.

Intensive will offer opportunities for participants to explore their inner landscape in relation to working with the unique energies inherent on the island. Hiking, meditation, ceremony, communal cooking, camping and learning how to make various healing tools will be part of the week.

Tuition this year for the week long gathering is a sliding scale($300.00 to $500.00)and covers the cost of materials, food, campsites, firewood, and any other needs for the week

Over the last two years I have been taking a small group to Assateaque Island to experience the powerful energies of the wild roaming horses on the island. During the experience participants were able to deeply explore their inner landscape and take in the beautiful biospere of the island. Participants created rattles out of found shells and others gifts from the ocean. These rattles were then used to activate an energy mandala on Saturday evening with some pretty magical results.

This April the We will be visiting the island in on the 8th through 15th 2010. We will have a mix of springish weather and the gray waters of the Atlantic surf. Migratory birds will be moving through the island and it should be a relatively quiet and productive time to be there.

Because I will have to book campsites ahead of time for that time of the year. I will need a deposit of $150.00 by the 10th of December 2009.

You may mail a check for the deposit to:

Reminders

Assateaque National seashore is a rugged camping experience - If you are intending to come and experience the weekend please, plan with the weather and elements in mind. You are responsable for bringing all your own camping gear.

Showers are cold water, outdoor and there are porta-potties. We can go over to the state park for hot showers

The sun and wind at the ocean are very intense any time of the year so bring sunblock and all the necessary things you will need to be comfortable and protected from the elements.

Because it is early in the season flying bugs will not be a problem althought ticks could be.

The horses do run wild and are very curious. They have in the past invaded our camp.

What will be cover over the weekend:

Observing the wild horses in their enviornment

Creating mandalas and offerings to the ocean, elements, and the beings both seen and unseen on the island
