The wracking pain swells
Shaking the sobbing torrents from this wearied soul
Barely able to breath
Unable to end the salty flow
Reaching for the strength
Of a long forgotten friend
Calling out to him to end this horrible pain
I find myself walking in the his sandy footsteps
Knowing that with him I am no longer alone
I tread lightly
Asking for his forgiveness
For all my earthly sins
Wailing sobs echo among the crashing waves
My salty tears mingle as they
Swirl back out to the sea
Nothing is so horrible
That from the guilt you wont be set free
Look heaven ward
A calm voice says
As I place my hand in his
And let him lead the way.
