JPEG Compression Table

Maximum Quality; lowest compression

(File size: 28 KB)

High Quality; moderate compression

(File size: 16 KB)

Medium Quality; high compression

(File size: 8 KB)

Lowest Quality; maximum compression

(File size: 5 KB)

The best image to use is the medium quality, high compression JPG. The image quality is almost the same compared to the maximum quality, low compression file, but still has an acceptable level of depth and richness, accurate and sharp image. It saves about 20 KB over the low compression version. The maximum compressed file will save 5 KB more from the medium quality picture, but the lost of sharpness makes the picture becoming blur.
