Here is a warm welcome to everyone who is new to my WebPage! I am so happy that you have visited my WebPage...Your friend in cyberspace, Pichet :-)

Shared Story.....

Sometimes we get upset when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later.

Think about this:

Should you find it hard to get to sleep tonight; Just remember the homeless family who has no bed to lie in.

Should you find yourself stuck in traffic; don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for the last three months.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it'slike to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week, to feed her family.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering; what is life all about, what is my purpose? Be thankful, there are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; remember, things could be worse. You could be them!!!

Should you decide to send this to a friend; You might brighten someone'sday!

Daily Commentary....

The thing about life is that we're going to have good day's and we're going to have our not so good days. The good news is that there are a few things that we can do to combat the overall effect of our 'not so good days'. One such technique I use is referred to as journaling. Simply put I keep a record of the events of my life.

If the thought of keeping a diary or journal seems a bit of an ordeal for you, here's the good news. A simple bit of notebook paper (or your computer's word processor) works just fine. Ok, so you say you're already doing this, but you're still having your share of 'less than perfect days'. Here's the trick! Read your memoirs regularly (particularly on the 'bad days'). Look back on them carefully, ponder them. Take a look at the productive day's that you've lived. Do you see how you've had others day's that you've felt a little less than upbeat? Look closely at all the wonderful things you've accomplished in your life! Find comfort in knowing that what you're feeling will soon be replaced with more positive feelings:-).

While those 'bad days' are a part of our life at the same time keep in mind that we can do things to combat them. Reviewing your previous achievements is a wonderful way to do just that! Here's hoping this message finds you well on your way to a 'perfect day'!...Your friend in cyberspace, Pichet :-)

The Top 10 Rules for Creating a Better Life

It's said that it's the simple things in life that truly give our lives meaning. Here are 10 tips for creating that better life:

1. Count your blessings daily. Even with life's challenges, there are always positive things, people, and events in our lives that keep us going. Make a list of those things in your life that keep you fueled, and give thanks for them daily.

2. Do more than you are getting paid to do. Going the extra mile brings many unexpected rewards into our life. Remind yourself that it's a privilege to be able to add value to someone else's life.

3. Shake off your blunders. Whenever you get knocked down by life, don't look back on it too long. Mistakes are life's greatest teachers; they help us grow and move on to higher planes, but only if we remain unstuck.

4. Reward yourself in the best way you can after a period of long labor and achievement. Stretch your reward by sharing it with someone special.

5. Remember that you are God's perfect creation; you can do anything you dream of anytime you want.

6. Let your actions always speak of your values. Be on guard for false pride and deceit that may halt your progress.

7. Every day should be unwrapped as a precious gift. Life may offer hurdles and stumbling blocks; use these as stepping stones to reaching your goal.

8. Live this day as if it were your last. Today is all you have. Run with it!

9. Extend everyone you meet all the care, kindness, love, and understanding you can muster, without thought of reward. Give of yourself: your time, your money, your talent or skills. Take the focus off yourself. Your life will never be the same.

10. Laugh at yourself and at life. Laughing causes a release of tension and worry, and clears your mind to think clearly toward a solution that is certain to come as soon as you let go.

HOW COULD A SIMPLE FISHERMAN BE LIVING HIS DREAMS MORE THAN A MILLIONAIRE?

Before you read this, you may want to print this out, it has a lesson that you might miss if your sitting in front of your computer screen, stressed out... So pull up your comfy couch or sit in the warm Sun as you read this... you may discover something amazing WITHIN You as you do so... :)

An American businessman was at a pier in a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.

The Mexican replied "only a little while".

The American then asked why didn't he stay out longer and catch more fish? The Mexican said he had enough to support his family's immediate needs. The American then asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"

The Mexican fisherman said, "I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine, and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life, senor."

The American scoffed, "I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and, with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing and distribution."You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA, and eventually NYC, where you will run your expanding enterprise."

The Mexican fisherman asked, "But, senor, how long will this all take?"

To which the American replied, "15-20 years."

"But what then, senor?"

The American laughed and said, "That's the best part. When the time is right, you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions."

"Millions, senor? Then what?"

The American said, "Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos." : - )

Makes you re-think the American Dream doesn't it?

LESSONS WE CAN LEARN FROM THE FISHERMAN

Have you taken time lately to step back...?

To step back from the rat race of "getting ahead"?

Do you ever find your self burned out and asking "Isn't there a better way?"

Does the fisherman know something that we don't?
