Wild Horses off the Carefree Highway,
North of Phoenix, Arizona

Driving west of the I-17, on the Carefree Highway (State Route 74), I saw this wild horse.
I've lived here all my life and this has been a rare site for the past 30 years or so.
I couldn't believe more people were not out of their vehicles taking pictures.

And then I saw three together.

And then I saw five together. I was thinking that maybe hay has gotten too expensive so these guys
owner's just let them wander the range land and forage for their own food.
