A Tribute to P. Ramlee

P.Ramlee is to Malaysia what Gilbert & Sullivan are to England, and Rodgers & Hammerstein are to the United States. P.Ramlee was undoubtedly the most famous local popular artiste of the 1950s, and perhaps the most well-known and loved Malaysian artiste of all time. Even today, there is not a single true bred Malaysian who does not know a P Ramlee tune or movie.

This website is a tribute to the man who has given his fellow countrymen so much, yet asked so little in return.

In this website, you can find a bit about his life, his movies and his music. You can also find some midi, and au files. BUT the main focus of this website is to present some realaudio/realmedia files of his music that captures the gritty radio mood of his compositions.
