S.A.F.T.A. "Helping Parents who are told that their unborn baby may have an abnormality" SAFTA is the only UK National Charity offering non-directive, specialized support to parents who discover that their unborn baby is abnormal. They offer support in making a decision about antenatal testing and provide support throughout the testing process. Their support is ongoing for parents who make the decision to end the pregnancy and refer parents who

decide to continue the pregnancy to the appropriate support organizations. It is their belief that the decision to terminate a pregnancy due to fetal abnormalitiy is made out of care for the unborn and in consideration of the existing family. SAFTA believes that such couples should be provided with the support they need to cope with this experience and to continue on with their lives with as little distress and disruption as possible.
