Your Health and the Health of your children; I believe is the one of the most important issues of today's families. Our Vital Health Page is a place where you will be able to find important links concerning Health and Nutrition. The concept of our page was started quite a few years ago, even before we ever dreamt of owning a computer, or being on the Internet. Our eldest son Joe, developed Acute Asthma, Sinus problems and Nasal Polyps at the age of 23. He had a brilliant career ahead of him. He was attending college, working, and physically active. He was a joy to our family, and friends. We all had high hopes for his future. Unfortunately he became so ill, due to his asthma he was no longer able to work, he literally became home bound, barely able to get out of bed. His college education had to be put on hold. We prayed for healing and searched out numerous Doctors for help, but after several nasal surgeries, without success we were told there was no known medical help for our son, other than what we were using. He tried every Asthma and Nasal Inhaler, but all help was temporary. We had stumped the medical profession. Needless to say we went thru thousand's of dollars trying to help him. We were devastated and heart-broken. Joe's pulmonary doctor had said he had never seen such a severe case, and suggested we send Joe to Arizona. We had lived in New York at the time, and the cold weather and humidity seemed to affect him, for the worse. His only help was prednisone, but since he was on that medication for so long he became dependent on it, and could not get off. Every time he would decrease the mg. his breathing became labored, and once again, we had to increase the dosage of the prednisone. By now the side effects were starting to take a toll on his body. Joe started loosing his hair, and his bones started to get brittle and ache. His fingers ached so much that he could no longer draw, or play the bass guitar which were his passion. With tearful eyes and broken-hearted we sent our son to on a trial basis to Arizona. At this point we had no other alternative. Joe did improve not immediaetly but after about three months, his asthma attacks were not coming on daily as they had been before. He occasionally still needed medication for his asthma and sinus infections, but not nearly as often as before. The report of Joe today, is he lives in Arizona, changed his diet, eliminated most dairy products, drinks bottled water, and takes Nutritional Supplements to boost his immune system. Joe is now 30 years old, working, active in church playing his bass guitar, and happily married. His hair is no longer falling out, and the pain in his joints is much better. No, he isn't totally cured, but he is 80% better, and we are so grateful to God for that improvement.
