Silke
Silke is Silke Vallentin of Germany.
She is confined to a wheelchair, but owns
and trains her 17 hand Friesian, Bico.
Silke came over from Germany with Bico
to attend the Parelli ISC in
Pagosa Springs, Colorado (summer of 99).

Silke made it and I hear she passed her level 3.
She was at Equitana and
made people weep
as she rode her horse.
Her rapport with Bico
is awesome!!!
He follows her like a dog, anywhere
and everywhere,
with or without a halter and lead.
She did a demo with him one day, all ground work,
and it was excellent. The next day more and then
Pat rode him and then Silke had him lay down
and
she got aboard.
It was the most inspiring thing
I've seen in a long time.
I don't think there were too
many dry eyes
in the crowd. She walked, trotted and
even a short canter.
She is a delightful person with
a wonderful attitude,
very talkative and pleasant. And
boy can she
scoot around in that little cart !!!!
She was there and she was great! She even plays the guitar and sings, When she did her thing there was not a dry eye. Pat presented her with her Level 3 string and everyone stood and cheered. It was sooo great.
I was feeling kinda depressed and reread Silke's page
and now, I feel much better.
