Army of Love
Nothing to say
So far away, talking to you
You say I can never understand what you've been through
(You can't go on) You can't go on like this anymore
(That's what love is for) Don't you know that that's what love is for
CHORUS
Like an arrow through your heart
Like a fire in the dark
We are an Army of Love
We are not the enemy
We are here to set you free
are an Army of Love
Stay on the line
You know that I will be here for you
Love is on the way
You can feel the change is happening to you
(Don't be afraid) Don't be afraid to just let love invade your soul
(Time to let it go) Don't you know it's time to let it go
CHORUS
Like an arrow through your heart
Like a fire in the dark
We are an Army of Love
We are not the enemy
We are here to set you free
We are an Army of Love
Over land and over sea
Taking over you and me
We are an Army of Love
You got to open up your heart
Don't you know that you're a part...
Part of the Army of Love

Waiting
Waiting is kind of like a modern day Psalm. Everyone who pursues a relationship with God has at some point had the frustrating experience, like David often did, of longing to connect with God but feeling like He's so far away. That's the place this song was written from.
I don't know how to find You
But I need You now
You come and go it seems
So far away
You hide Your face from me
Where do You go when I'm hungry like a child
For the eyes of a father smiling down
I want to know You love me
Chorus
I am waiting for You
I am waiting here tonight
I am praying for my eyes to see the light
I don't feel strong enough
To lift my hands to You
But I have tasted Your life
And that's how I know I am tired of mine
Its only You that Im longing for tonight
I want You to take me from this place
I want You to lift my hands up high
I am waiting for You
I am waiting here tonight
I am falling on my knees
I can't find You
I am ready for You
I am ready for Your touch
I am praying for my eyes to see the light

More
I'd trade it all - for a little more. C. Montgomery Burns More is a satirical look at the misguided view that people can satisfy spiritual needs through physical means. The song is basically saying that peace, fulfillment and contentedness are things that cant be achieved through the pursuit of money, pleasure, status, power or fame.
So you tell me you're gonna be a star
And you say your gonna be a zillionaire
And you say youre gonna send me back a postcard
When you're sitting at the top and I'm still down here
And you say
CHORUS
Baby all I want is more
All I want is more and its never too much
But I never get too much
I see it every day but I never can touch
And I'm getting what I want
Getting what I wants never been too tough
But I never get enough
All I want is more 'cause I cant get enough
And you can't tell what you want from what you need
And you're traveling but you will never get there
And you say
CHORUS

right time
This song is looking back to a time when you felt close to God and knew you were His beloved child, and realizing that now things are different. We all share the roller coaster experience of feeling alternately close to God and far away from God, but His love remains the same and it's never the wrong time to recognize that fact.
I dont think anyone can see me
I dont feel anyone is there
To catch me if I fall
And I cant help but hide myself
Longing for the arms of Jesus
Waiting for the One I love
To whisper in my ear
And tell me I am loved again
I feel you inside of me
Im not alone
CHORUS
It's the right time to feel your love again
Cause they can see me
And they dont want to let me in
But you are smiling cause you know where I began
And I know its time to feel your love again
I never thought that I was worth it
I never thought that I deserved
This love I feel inside
I thought that I was by myself
But you know everything about me
You look deep inside
The motion picture of my life
And even if I fall again
I know youll be there for me
To take me home
CHORUS

You Can Be The One
We try to encourage kids to follow their dreams, because we feel like God has instilled dreams inside everybody. Everyone has something that they are passionate about and love to do. For us, it's music, among other things. But no matter who you are or what dream God has put inside you, dont ever think for a second that it could never happen, because it can, and it will.
Dont ever wait to find what youve been looking for
Dont ever hide your light behind a closing door
Dont give up the fight to find a way to realize your dreams
Dont you know you can be anything that you want to be
CHORUS
You can be a star shining out in the darkness
You can be a fire blazing in the cold
You can be a voice calling out in the silence
You can be as bright as the morning sun
You can be the blue sky after the gray
You can drive the clouds of fear away
You can bring the healing to a world thats come undone
Dont you know you can be the one
You know that you can be the one
Don't ever miss a chance to find what the future holds
'Cause I can see a passion burning in your eyes
I know theres a God who's up in heaven looking down
And we all play a part in a master plan of grand design

Melt Me
Melt me is a metaphor for a conversion experience. A human heart of ice is melting, under God's sunshine yellow stare, into the deep blue ocean of His smile.
You were standing there
And I
I was not aware
Of the sunshine in your stare
Melting me
Changing me from gray to clear
Never before have I been seen like this
CHORUS
Sunshine yellow eyes
Deep blue ocean smile
Look into this ice
Melt me
As you turn around
This time
You wash the world in white
You burn the sunlight with your eyes
Looking into me
And my heart anchored down in the sea of your smile
CHORUS

Let me Know
You know when you kind of like someone, but you think they might be hooking up with someone else, and you dont really know what to do? Thats what Let Me Know is about.
Baby I've been waiting so long
And I cant see whats going on
Ive got to tell you how I feel
This time its got to be for real
Cause I'm feeling so peculiar
When I see somebody else with you
And you know my head is turning
And its time for me to make that move
CHORUS
Baby let me know what I should say to you
Just tell me what it is that I'm supposed to do
Cause Im falling apart on my own
Without you everyday
So tell me what to do
Baby when I close my eyes
I picture you inside my mind
I think about you all the time
Girl why dont you just give me a sign
Cause I never understood it
Baby why you made me wait so long
And I've got to get to know you
Cause the feelings getting oh so strong
CHORUS

Believer
There comes a point when you realize that you are ready to become a Christian. Up until now it has been hard for you to commit to something like Christianity, but you have been convinced and you have felt God's love, and now you are ready to let yourself believe. At this point you might pray something like the prayer in this song.
Things never happen like I wish they could
Only in my dreams
I've never been willing to give up my heart
Or let myself believe
But I have been waiting all of my life
Just for tonight
And this time I'm hoping, holding out for you
To let me see the light
CHORUS
Make me a believer for once in my life
Right here and now
Touch me somehow
Let it be tonight
It's all on the line
I'm down on my knees
I don't know how but I'm ready to see
Clear every shadow of doubt in my mind
Cause I want to believe
I've been sitting here staring at the rain
All alone tonight
Something about you is making me smile
With tears in my eyes
Maybe you've noticed, maybe you can tell
What's happening to me?
When you say my name and touch my heart again
It's making me believe
Why can't this be one of the times
When I can see with open eyes
Shine your light
I'll never forget for the rest of my life

I Don't Wanna Lose
This is a straight up love song. It talks about finding that someone can help bring a bit of focus to a scattered heart.
I used to live out here
My life and limb together
I used to hang my head
And dream to make it better
If you could understand whats happening to me
Then I wouldn't need myself
To tell me it's not the same
CHORUS
I don't want to lose
No baby
I dont want to find myself all by myself again
I dont want to lose your love no
I dont want to find out that theres nothing left to win
Sometimes I feel like nothings sinking in
I look around and have to ask you where Ive been
Sometimes I think maybe its time to take a chance
But I know you and I
Can reach the other side
If you see on my own again sometime now baby
Dont pass me by
CHORUS

Take my Heart Away
I wrote this with my good friend, Chris Study, who wanted to write a song for his lovely wife, Michelle. Its a song about love and faithfulness in a relationship. Its important to make sure the one you are in love with knows that you are there to stay.
Don't worry baby
I won't go away
Can't you feel it in the way that I tell you
That I'm here to stay
Don't worry darling
It ain't no lie
Can't you tell by the way that I love you
Love is so alive
CHORUS
I won't take my heart away
Baby I am here to stay
I only want to hear you say
Hear you say you love me
Dont take your heart away
Tell me everything's okay
I only want you here beside me
Listen to me baby
I've got to let you know
Can't you tell by the way I hold you
I'll never let you go
Let me tell you darling
This love will survive
Can't you feel it when I say I love you
That it feels so right
CHORUS

I'm Ok
My cousin, and one of my best friends, Brandi, found out several years ago that she had leukemia, and bravely began the journey through the years of excruciating treatment necessary to beat this horrible disease. The lyric is basically her side of a conversation I had with her when I thought she was on her deathbed. She assured me that she was okay, in a spiritual sense, even though the disease had all but destroyed her body. It was one of the most inspiring conversations I've ever had.
Why are you weeping
Over me this hour
I'm slipping away
But you know you couldn't keep me forever
I've gone too far to turn back again
And things will never be the same but
CHORUS
I'm ok
You'll see
Just believe
The words I pray
You'll see
Just believe
The words I pray
Where are you going
Searching for me in the shadows
The night is so dark
But the future holds something better
I know it's going to be all right
And things will never be the same
CHORUS
The words I pray
And things will never be the same
No, things will never be the same
CHORUS
