About the Band

Originally called Resinator, The Resinators formed in April 2000.  During the years the band has gone through various changes, but still manage to maintain the same groovy sound since way back when it all started.  These days most bands will either play all originals, or play it safe with just playing cover tunes.  Although The Resinators can do close renditions of classic songs, The Resinators have always strived to record and perform original compositions.

Pat Tovey - drums, vocals

Darryl Murray - bass guitar, background vocals

Andy Wolff - vocals, lead guitar, harmonica

Apr - Dec/2000

(as Resinator)

Apr/2000 Band first gets together.
Sept/2000 Under the name "Resinator", the band starts performing in the local bar scene.
Jan/2001 Due to a divisive musical direction, "Resinator" disbands.

 

Feb/2001 - Mar/2003

Feb/2001 Band reforms under the name "The Resinators" and start making open stage appearances at The Apollo and The Westfort Tavern.
Apr/2001 Band once again starts performing in the local bar scene and begin recording material for their first album.
Aug/2001 The Resinators perform at The Country Music Jambourie.
Nov/2001 Only place 2nd in the Band Warz at The Office, due to questionable judging.
Note: The Beatles never won any type of "Band Warz" contests either.
Apr/2002 Recording sessions for "The Adventures Of Johnny Mars" completed.
Oct/2002 Mixing and mastering for "The Adventures Of Johnny Mars" completed.
Nov/2002 "The Adventures Of Johnny Mars" album and "Johnny Mars" single released.
Mar/2003 Drummer Dan Quirion leaves the band.

June/2003 With new line-up, the band starts performing on the local bar scene.
Aug/2003 Drummer Ken Arding leaves the band and is replaced by Luke Maloney of "Rifflifter" and "Wanted" fame.   Terry Agombar departs to join the band "Cookhouse".

Aug/2003 Once again the band continues playing live engagements.
Oct/2003 Recording sessions for "Pay City" begin.
Feb/2004 Recording sessions for "Pay City" completed.
Apr/2004 Arek Chamski leaves the band.  
July/2003 Terry Agombar re-joins band as the bass guitarist.
Sept/2004 Mixing and mastering for "Pay City" completed.

Oct/2004 "Pay City" album and "The Big Time" single released.
Mar/2005 "Pay City" single released.
Nov/2005 Recording sessions for the third album begin.  Recording, mixing and mastering of songs "Here We Go Again" and "Won't Take It Back" completed.
Mar/2006 "Here We Go Again" single released.  Terry Agombar quits the band.
Apr/2006 Darryl Murray joins band.

Apr/2008 Mixing and mastering of the single "The Well's Run Dry" completed.  "The Well's Run Dry" single released.
Jul/2008 Recording sessions for "After The Rage" album completed.
Aug/2008 Mixing and mastering for "After The Rage" completed.
Nov/2008 "After The Rage" album released.

 

Jan/2009 Recording sessions for "Resinator Blues" album begin.
Mar/2009 Mixing and mastering of the single "Uptown, Not Downtown" completed.  "Uptown, Not Downtown" single released.
Jun/2009 Recording sessions for "Resinator Blues" album completed.
Aug/2009 Mixing and mastering for "Resinator Blues" completed.
Oct/2009 "Resinator Blues" album released.
Dec/2011 Luke Maloney quits the band.
