One of the things i like about this band is, You can't pigeonhole their music. It crosses a few different genres. Rock, Alt., and Metal. Good, solid songwriting that will make you think and react. Check the bands website for this release and live shows. PR

There I was, going crazy trying to figure out this complexing issue with some missing files. In the short of the situation, I took a break and logged online. There I saw a friend I hadn't spoke to in a long time. In our chat, I told her the problem I was having. Bless the night, she was chatting to someone that could help and told me to log him in...Well, he was the answer to my problem. While we were chatting, I noticed his profile. He was in a metal/rock band in New York. Of course I had to find out more so, I clicked the url. What hooked me to his band UndermineX was their intro page.
Slightly heavily influenced by bands like Metallica but, still has their own influenced sounds. Anyone can hear that once you play 'Wildin' Out, 'Seed', 'Leave Me', and 'Lost'. Of course, 'Wildin' Out and 'Leave Me' are my favourites. Just listen to the songs you're find out why. Speaking of 'Why' another great song to listen to, to find who these guys are. Bernard, the lead vocal,.. is very talented. Most leads don't have the strong baritones to hit the right notes but, Bern hits them every time perfectly.
Seriously, I was beginning to think that metal/rock was losing its edge until, I heard this band. It was beyond blowing me away, when I listened to 'I 4 Eye'; complicated to explain, the drums are so pukka. Drums, guitars and bass are true in every point of measure. People want something to reach out and grab ahold on them and pull them into some unknown to mankind. I personally feel that when I listen to UndermineX's material. They truly serve you a nosh-up of metal/rock that will last you for a long time.
Not being a band for long, just came together since 2000. They have had some members to leave and already been replaced but, still the same heavy funk sound exist. At the moment, they are working on some changes to their old material and working on new material as well.

The next band was highly anticipated by the still decent number of people and of course myself included. UnderMine X had traveled from New York to play a Connecticut show for the first time and I think were expecting a rowdy crowd to replicate they're home State. What they got may have been more than they expected when they proceeded to open they're act with a fire bomb pyro that shook the crowd. Down-Time. net's own Rick Robbins also got involved in the mosh pit, it was the first time but it sure was memorable as he took down Bern from UnderMine X. Rick being a Hockey Fan commented that he liked to get hit, throughout the night there were no hits harder than a modified spear by Mr. Robbins. UnderMine X- was not exempt from breaking a guitar string as Last Element had done in the last show. (Twice I might add.) During one of the UnderMine X, bass string breakage's, they took time to interact with the crowd that had some to see them perform, Bern who is of African American descent took some jokes out on himself, Rick threw a few doozies in there that very few seemed to understand and after a few moments of silence, UnderMine X was back in the game. They were no doubt the loudest, rowdiest and energized band that night and got a lot of decent sustained pits going. It is no surprise that they are tearing up the scene in New York and they gave it all to the crowd that night. They guest book was full of encouragement, well wishes of luck and some great things to say about this band. Unfortunately for the next band, after UnderMine X played they're last song, no one seemed to be interested in staying any longer.
Chaos Theory
When i think of Undermine X i try and figure out why they have not reached fame yet. I have been to plenty of their shows to realize they have what it takes to go all the way. The dedication this band has for the music and especially the fans is incredible. The intensity they bring out during their live performance is something to take your breath away. If you haven't heard of these guys before...you will now. They have a sound which can not be put into category but only to be explained with such feeling and emotion. The shattering riffs are filled with expression and emotion that will leave you in awe. The vocals are brought out in a way I have never heard before and is just plainly....amazing. And the beats are full of impact which will make your ears bleed and want more. This band has it all and will one day be on top.
