Tearin' Up My Heart,
Chapter 7

JC woke up to the sound of his door being loudly pounded on.

"Get up! We have to be out of here in an hour!" one of the security guards shouted at him. He sat up and rubbed his eyes groggily as a freshly-showered Joey walked out of the bathroom and opened the door. As he walked out, the security guard walked into the room.

"Good day, sunshine," he said as JC glared at him from his position on the bed.

"Remind me next time I am supposed to share a room with that man that there is a nice cozy spot next to a dumpster over on the west side of town," JC replied.

"Will do. Okay, you've got... fifty-seven minutes now to get ready to head down to the studio, and you had better eat or something before we go to get some energy into your system. You look like crap."

"Really? Because I was about to rush out the door, dash down fifteen slights of stairs and then take a few laps around the hotel before prancing down the street proclaiming the wonders of living on a total of twelve minutes of sleep."

"...Right. So after your workout, find some time to shower and get yourself looking pretty so we can keep our schedule. Now get up."

"I'm going to hold us up? Keep in mind that there is a certain teen heart throb in this group named Justin Timberlake. Has he even gone to sleep yet?" JC asked as he got himself out of bed and started meandering towards the bathroom.

"Justin has been up and getting ready for ten minutes now."

"Then we'll only be twenty minutes late. And I think he's out of mousse. That shouldn't make things any easier," JC said before closing the bathroom door behind him.

"Justin! Justin open this door! We have to get over to the studio, preferably before the show starts. Now open the door!" After no response, Lance went and found one of the security guards who had keys to the rooms. He came back to the door and unlocked it. "You had so better not be in there crusting up your head with mousse or I will shave off every hair on your teenie-bopper-lusted head!" Lance said as he came through the door. He saw Justin standing in front of the bathroom mirror rubbing his hands together before smearing them through his hair. As Lance ran towards the bathroom in an attempt to grab Justin's razor, Justin picked it up and tossed it into his bag. He smiled through the mirror at the frustrated Lance who was standing next to him.

"Gel. I was out of mousse. Had to send security down to the store to pick up some, but they spend about as much time with hair products as Joey does caring what's on our schedule. Still, they avoided a big disaster."

"Justin, we are about to go down to a studio where there will be people payed to do your hair for you. This is a waste of time."

"They never do it right. I can usually convince them to let me out before too much damage has been done. Dang! I'm out of this stuff again. JOE!" He shouted as he shook the bottle upside down. One of the security guards came through the door. Justin pointed to the bottle he was shaking as the guard rolled his eyes and turned to leave. He was met with Lance who stood in front of him shaking his head and pointing to his watch. The guard turned back to Justin.

"Sorry, but there's no more time. You guys are supposed to be on your way."

"Oh I could have said that," Lance said. "Now let's get going." The guard picked up Justin and threw him over his shoulder as Justin struggled to see himself in the mirror and throw some finishing touches on his hair. They got out to the hallway and the guard put Justin down. Chris, Molly, AP and Danny were standing outside the door waiting for them.

"Where's Joey?" Justin asked as something dashed by them. He looked down the hallway and saw a back bearing a superman emblem running away from them. They heard a door open behind them and turned to see JC coming out of his room.

"So, how was your ni--" Molly started as the security guard standing behind JC shook his head and made frantic motions across his neck with his finger.

"Hmm?" said JC as he looked up at her with bloodshot eyes.

"Nothing."

"Okay, somebody grab Joey and lets get into the cars while JC's still walking," one of the security guards said.

Everyone went downstairs and packed themselves into the provided cars.
