Nenagh
Not even the bare facts yet I'm afraid. Only insinuation, heresay and conjecture. But, apparently, the all new, leaner, New Year Rejects are returning to Nenagh to play on this date. Assumptions at this time include: it'll be on at The Kenyon Bar; 7evenwords'll be playing too; The Rejects'll be wearing frocks; Bill Clinton's making a special guest appearance; Lord Lucan'll be riding Shergar around the room; Jan Travolti & Olivia Newman Des will be performing the romantic lead dance from their hit musical, Chip fat; the guy who played Rick in Magnum PI will be signing autographs; food'll be served by a no-handed chef who dribbles a lot; karaoke, as a sport, will be abolished by the Minister for Defence; and finally, Sheik Ahmed Abdullah Abdul Bin Jawohrlal Benjamijn Brookes will be praised by a load of starving fanatics for having more money than he'll ever need. Gonna be a great night. Be there.

Dolans Warehouse, Limerick
Some concession flyers still available, people. You want a green one. It's a 'Hard Working Band' gig with your favourite rock band (us), 7evenwords, The Fewer The Better and Seneca. 6 euros in with a flyer and we'd be as grateful as said dead if you came along.

***STAR ATTRACTION: Daymz will be playing his first gig as a Reject.***

I mean, you can't miss that, surely. I hear Theik's gonna moon too. Benz is gonna monologue and Mick's gonna be going by the name 'Icebox' for one night only. You couldn't possibly want more. Ok, a free drink to the first person to tell Theik he looks like Charlie Sheene.

Sally Longs, Galway
This'll be our first Galway gig so we're hoping to make a few new friends and maybe loine up a few more gigs in the juristiction. It's a combo gig with 2 or 3 other acts and it's been arranged by, I think, Dead Monkey Records. We were drafted in at the last minute, thanks Derek, so we're not on the posters. And I've heard a rumour that it be free in.

Trinity Rooms, Limerick
The grand finale of the Miller Strat Band of the Year Competition. That's a mouthful! So far the finalists are(in order of heat victories) Emaf, The Fewer The Better, Decato, Nordle, The New Year Rejects (Yahoo!!), Knapweed and the winner of the runners-up heat. Fingers and genitals crossed, eh?

***********************************UPDATE***********************************

Ah well. Thanks to all our support. Roper, eh? I personally thought Decato would get the vote but what do I know? Well done The Fewer The Better, Emaf, Knapweed, Nordle and Decato for getting to the final.

The Kenyon, Nenagh
This is the second gig with 7even words(see below) and our last gig of the year. We're gonna put our heads together over the coming days or when Theik comes back from Moscow, and come up with something special. It's in Nenagh, where we've not played before, so come with us and we'll make a night of it.

The High Stool, Limerick
Thanks to our buddies 7even words(www.sevenevenwords.com), we've two gigs with them this month. The first is this one in the High Stool. Christmas is approaching and our gift to you is this gig. Awww. Cheapskates. I got cheap skates for xmas once. Broke both my ankles. We hope to have a surprise song learned for the gig so please join us in festive cheer.

The Red Room, Trinity Rooms, Limerick
Although it seems to have been well publicised, the Miller Strat Band of the Year Competition almost passed our sleepy asses by. We missed the first 4 heats but we've gotten ourselves onto the 5th one. Please lend your ears and support.

***********************************UPDATE***********************************

Three cheers for us. We're in the final. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us. Ye're all winners too, y'know.

Termites, The Globe, Limerick
Sketchy reports just in of a gig in Termites (or is it Termights?). Arranged by Derek The Derrick, I'm not very well informed at the mo' but I'm pretty sure there'll be at least 2 top notch bands playing. Be there or be dodecahedron.

The High Stool, Limerick
This gig is a bit of a mini festival, I believe, to mark the end of 7even Words tour. There's a handfull of bands playing and at present we're going on at about half 9 or so. Be there or be trapezoid.

BRANDONS, Ennis.
We'll be playing a support slot to Galway based band, Musicola, who rock apparently. I haven't heard them meself but they've been getting great reviews for their demo from everyone. They're drummer, Senan Cullinan, (former New Year Reject) is the one who arranged this gig with Theik. It's our first time playing in Ennis since we won the Clare New Bands Competition so it better be good or I'll fire it back in your face.

Our guest reviewer for this gig is Sue 'Sudio' Corcoran. Click here for her comments. (A good read)
