New join form.
10.6.00 -Carbon
I've made a new "join form". Just click on 'Join', fill and submit the form, and then we'll check it out. Much easier then e-mail! I've got scrolling working in Deities, now I'll probably begin programming A.I. to handle how the creatures interact with eachother.

Deities and Webmaster
14.4.00 -Carbon & Sebbe
First of all, I'm making Sebbeh our webmaster for a while, he'll be updating this page atleast once a week. This will be a "test" period, if he does it allright, we'll let him continue, if not... So you should be seeing more updates from him soon. A little something on Deities then. I have got the background music and sfx working fine, 640x400x256 working (optional 1024x768x256 for those who want it), and once I make some decent fighting and death animations, I'll throw you a demo on Deities! And the webmasterin' works fine! -Carbon & Sebbe

Work on Deities and Emperors RPG
16.3.00 -Carbon & Emperor
Im working on a fantasy rpg with sprite graphics. It's demo will be probably finished in a few weeks and the whole game in ? time. -Emperor I've been working on Deities, and I've got the new engine working. I'm going to code all the creatures into the executable, so that it's easier for me, and you can't edit them. Hah. I should get a uninteractive demo up in a few weeks time. The game won't be finished in a long time, it's a big game. -Carbon

Wargames version 2.0
26.1.00 -Inferno
I just finished Wargmes version 2.0. It has new guns and some fixed bugs. I have'nt made the random terrain yet, but i'll have it made in the next version. BTW. Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaasssssseeeeeeee send bug reports.

Another change of nick
19.1.00 -Carbon
I've once again changed my nick. From Ile to The Crow to Carbon. I'm pretty confident that I'll stay with Carbon for a long time (it's so kewl! Joke... =)) Anyway, I've still got to learn much more VC++ before I can start a game. Well, much more is an overstatement, but atleast I'll have to read a few chapters. Once I can load pictures, play with fonts, draw pictures, and do something else, then I'll be able to make a game. Untill then, Emperor is making Commando and Inferno Wargame(s?!).

The Crows Birthday!
7.1.00 -The Crow
It's my birthday today! Now I'm one year older, and wiser (even though I'm pretty wise already ;) ). Please send us feedback! We want to know if you like our new page!

Lots of visitors!
6.1.00 -The Crow
We've hit a new visitor high! It might not be much, but for us it is! On tuesday there were 250 visitors, yesterday 89. We also got two new programmers, Jollan and Jejk. I'll post Jejk info right now, but I have yet to recieve Jollans info.

Site redesigned!
5.1.00 -The Crow
We've finally redesigned this site, as promised. I (Ile) have also changed my nick to The Crow. Please send us your comments about this site, is it better than the old one, worse, whatever.

MINOR UPDATE
You might see errors on this page with different browsers, but I can't see any with IE, but with Opera there are errors. But there also some errors I overlooked when I hastily changed all the pages, so that the changeover would as fast as possible. Please send e-mail on how you like/don't like the new look.

4.1.2000
We're definately going to get a programmer, and quite probably two of them. Also we've been getting more visitors lately (maybe we'll be able to reach the average of 40 again?). I've already decided how to redesign our page, so now all I need is the graphics, which I'll have to do myself probably.

-Ile

4.1.2000
Ah, I'm back! Finally! For some reason I haven't been able to access Angelfire in the past few days, and, as you can see, Emperor and Inferno have been posting news like bunnies Wadahooing the Yoohoo (sorry Mynx, had to use it ;)). Well anyway, I'm still frantically trying to learn Visual C++ so that I may begin my first damn game in VC++! I'll begin updating more often from now on, and also I'll be trying to create the new graphics for our page. Hope you had a great Y2K!

-Ile

2.1.2000
We uploaded Wargane Beta 1.1 and Commando Beta 2.0. You can download them from the the games page. Bug reports and ideas to webmaster@bmstudios.zzn.com

-Inferno & Emperor

31.12.99
I finished the BETA version of Wargame and I added it to the download site. It does'nt have a main menu or intro and it still has bugs. It's playable ofcourse. I'll have a second version up soon. You can send your bug reports and ideas here
-Inferno

28.12.99
Great news! The version Ile was talking about was .99 Beta. It didn't work because some graphic files were missing. Now I've uploaded version 1.0 Beta. It has some bugs which I noticed this morning and they'll be fixed in the next version which will be uploaded in a few days.
-Emperor

27.12.99
I'm trying to make random terrain on the wargame. The first version should be coming out soon.
-Inferno

26.12.99
Didn't get the beta version out by Christams after all. But I did get Punk uploaded! It's a new game from Sebbe. The problem for not getting Commando's beta version up is because Ozo gave me a disc, but when I tried getting Commando from the disc, it unfortunately didn't work. I recieved Visual C++ (only an introductory version, so I'm not allowed to distribute programs made with it), but it'll let me learn. I've already thought of a way to make Global Wars with VC++. Because it is Windows based, I can make many things happen at once. Example: In one window you can look at all your countries resources, in another you could have a mini-map. In the center a big window with a close-up view of the world. And still one more window to inform you of all important happenings. I'll try and obtain a version with which I can create programs I can freely distribute. Merry Christmas! I've also been thinking of totally redoing this site. I have some great ideas, just have to start working with PSP to make the graphics, then do the html, and we're set!
-Ile

22.12.99
Commando's beta version is ready atlast! Still some problems with the exe, but I should have it up before Christmas. After thinking of the concept of Global Wars, I've decided to really work on the negotiations between rival nations. There are many faboulous strategy games out there, which are great but are a dissapointment in one place. Negotiating with others. You usually just have the simple elements: Peace, War, Threat, Trade Tech. Maybe some others such as forming an alliance, making trade routes, asking to attack an enemy, but it's all basically the same. So now I'll try and create more options to really give some depth to negotiations.
-Ile

13.12.99
We've got a new member once again, Ganja. He's also a game developer, like DarkSky. Hopefully he will get some work done. Nothing else updated today.
-Ile

10.12.99
Soon you'll get a few demos. The game I have started to work on is Global Wars (first of the Global series, Global Actions will be the "sequel".). Also, Ozo is really getting work done with his game, and has promised a demo in a week or so. No news on R2 yet. Also Sebbeh gave me a small game, which I'll upload as soon as I change the code a little.
-Ile

4.12.99
Global Actions will be delayed. Now many of you might think that "BMS will never publish another game." But you are wrong. Maybe the others haven't been working so hard lately, but we do have lives. We have school and other things also. But I will make them finish their games, atleast make demos or something. GA is delayed because I have changed to C++ and don't know exactly how to do everything, so I'll make a simpler game first, to learn. When I learn enough, I will make GA. If you are getting frustrated about all this delaying and so forth, join us and show us how its done! On to something else, I've changed the poll. Now I'm asking you what makes a good game. A little sad maybe for the other crew who still use QBasic, 36% of you think it's totally obsolete, luckily there was that 26% who thought it was the best ever. Maybe I'll see what you think of C++ in the near future...
-Ile

23.11.99
Oddly enough DarkSky has yet to give me that engine, so any coding for the RPG has been postponed until I recieve that engine. I've (Ile) also finally totally shifted to C++ from QBasic. So, no more QBasic for me. I decided to do this 'cause I got a very comprehensive and good book about C++, and I've already learned quite alot, for a beginner. Global Actions will be programmed in C++. I'll post some news about the other games Ozo and R2 are makeing soon, just have to talk to them first. Also, we might be getting yet another member, Ganja. Our so called "competitor", EP Studios, has announced that they will "shut down" EP Studios 1.1.2000.
-Ile

28.10.99
We've got a new member, DarkSky! He's a game developer. I met him after responding to a request on a bulletin board. He was planning an online RPG. So now me (Ile) and him are beginning to make a online RPG which will have a isometric view (e.g. Fallout, Fallout2, Diablo). We're looking for more people to help with our game, so anyone interested please contact us! Remember, even if I don't post news every day, NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!
-Ile

21.10.99
Now I've created a forum (bulletin board, who cares?). Go there and post your comments and whatever comes to mind. Let others know how you feel!
-Ile

17.10.99
I have just created an e-mail service at bmstudios.zzn.com. Now you can get your own FREE e-mail address at yourname@bmstudios.zzn.com. Pretty nice, eh?
-Ile

17.10.99
Jundala has been frozen because of the lack of maps. It'll be melted as soon as I make all the maps, or if I recieve enough of them. For now my main project is Global Actions. You'll be able to control a legal/illegal company/gang, antiterrorist/terrorist group, or even a Formula1 team. It is set in the real world, and you'll be able to build your headquarters anywhere, and so forth. I'll be using Civilization type graphics, but I'll create the engine myself. Lack of updates is due to the fact that I have school, which means alot of more work.
-Ile

25.9.99
I'm not going to make my game a ww2 to game , I'm just going to me make it a capture-the-flag thing or something like that. I'm maybe gonna make a feature that you can buy new guns or something on it.
-R2

8.9.99
My 'net connection hasn't been working for a while but I luckily got it fixed today. My 'net provider had changed my IP address and hadn't told me... Anyway, I've already programmed 3 (2½) different AI's for Jundala. 2½ because one has to be improved still.
-Ile

31.8.99
Yay, we've gone over the 1000 mark, and the flooder hasn't come anymore. I'm continueing to program better AI for Jundala, and I'm STILL waiting for those mappers. You don't have to have any experience in mapping even. Ozo says he has done quite alot of his commando game, R2's game has progressed also. Well, have a nice day! =)
-Ile

22.8.99
Once again the flooder came. Btw, I have the flooders IP address, so I can track him if I wish.
-Ile

22.8.99
Thought I'd thank the person who decided to flood our guestbook. I erased the whole message so it was a waste of time. So don't do that again. I really would like to know why people try to flood guestbooks, chat rooms, and so forth...
-Ile

15.8.99
Updated poll. How do you people come here? Write something in the guestbook. Fixed a problem with the AI going through walls in Jundala. Also fixed a few graphical bugs, but increasing the requirements at the same time. After finishing Jundala I'll try and make it faster, if possible. Too bad R2 ain't gonna do Wimp Tennis. Well, I hope the WW2 game will come out.
-Ile

12.8.99
I decided to stop working on wimptennis and start making a ww2 strategy game.
-R2

11.8.99
Typo in poll: Not, Link OF some other page, but, Link ON some other page. Ozo once again has updated the news page. Nice. Jundala is comeing along nicely.
-Ile

9.8.99
I finished an early version of my new game: BMS Baseball. I'll be uploading it soon.
-Ozo

6.8.99
I've placed my personal e-mail onto the crew page, you can send questions conscerning programming or any of the games I programmed. Unfortunately Ozo hasn't been able to get his computer working, but on the other side, he can work on another computer now. Another bad thing, he can't recover his work, so now he's going to have to start all over again, he may not even make a baseball game after all, I'll ask him...
-Ile

4.8.99
How wonderful, Ozo actually updated the news section, not much, but something. I've posted a new pic of Jundala. Half of the first city will quite surely look like that. Got nothing else to say, except >;)
-Ile

31.7.99
My computer still isn't working so I haven't been able to do any programmming lately.
-Ozo

30.7.99
I'm back! Seems to me that my fellow friends Ozo and R2 HAVEN'T updated our page. How nice. well, I'm here now so you'll be seeing updates again. I changed the poll, I also made it the Black Magic Studios poll, not weekly. Mainly because it isn't weekly, 'cause I might not be here every week to update it. Jundala is coming along quite nicely. Now my only big thing to do is to create the AI.
-Ile

21.7.99
Our first artist has joined us! Magdalena Holgersson, or Magda. She's Sebbe's sister. Now we have four programmers, and one artist, =). Our company is ever growing! I also posted a new program, Lifeforms. It's a nice little program. Go check out the description in either the New game releases of games section! I'll be gone for a week from today, so if no updates don't show up for the next seven days, don't blame me! As you can probably see from the screenshots section, Wimp Tennis is also coming along.
-Ile

20.7.99
Well, Jundala will unfortunately be delayed, because I just invented how to make the Jundala engine a bit different, so that I can make a level editor for it. I will soon be haveing a closed pre-alpha test. If you want to be one of the testers send me an e-mail. No former experience needed. I'm going to be away for a week, so don't expect a reply before.
-Ile

19.7.99
I find myself apologizeing(is that even how you write it?) to you every time I'm away for even a few days! Why? I seem to think I have to update this page atleast every 2 days. I really have to get someone else to do some of this news stuff... Have you noticed what Dragon Software has written in the guest book? I went to their page and what do I find, ONE crew member, NO games! This is probably someones strange trick/joke...
-Ile

12.7.99
I've put up a screenshots section. The first screenshot is of the upcoming game Jundala. But remember that the screenshot is of the very early version, so expect it to look atleast a little different.
-Ile

11.7.99
Help needed!!! We really need artists and programmers! We need an artist to make a nice logo for BMS which we could put on every game. Also, we need programmers. Jundala is such a big project its gonna take alot of time. Ozo hasn't got his computer fixed, R2's away! So, if you think you know how to program, any language, drop us a line. Also if you think you know how to draw, send us e-mail. If you don't want to send e-mail, meet me in ICQ, 33848984.
-Ile

6.7.99
If you might of noticed I've now created five different download sites. Angelfire, Fortunecity, Xoom, Geocities, and Tripod. Ofcourse there isn't much traffic (yet), but if one of them is down for some strange reason, there would be another server to download from.
-Ile

4.7.99
Sebastian Holgersson has just joined our crew! We've already posted his first game up, so you can check it out, even though its a very early version. I'm sorry that I've said that the Jundala demo would be out soon, but there is one major delay. I encountered a problem I didn't think of, but it's not an impossible task, it's just that now I have to code much than I thought. We might be actually moving to BMStudios.com in a while, I'm working on it.
-Ile

4.7.99
Sorry once again for not putting up new news... I finally got the C/C++ compiler I had been looking for. I also found a Pascal compiler. I still will make Jundala with Qbasic, but after that I'll probably be moving a little more towards C++ than QBasic. I don't know about Ozo or R2, if they are gonna stay with QB or go to C++.
-Ile

30.6.99
I forgot to say, that Ozo's computer isn't working right now, otherwise we'd already have his games uploaded...
-Ile

30.6.99
I'm sorry I hadn't updated our page for a while, but I've been working very hard on Jundala. For you who don't know what it is, it is going to be a nethack-style RPG. The engine works now, and the demo should be out soon. You will only be able to travel to three cities in the demo, but the first version of the full game should have about 30 or more cities. Future versions will probably have more and more cities. Our TFC clan is growing, which is good, and we might even be getting new members to our programming crew! =)
-Ile

15.6.99
Ahh, once again I can proudly welcome a new member to our TFC clan: Wounded. This means we have, what, SIX members! :)
-Ile

12.6.99
Damn. Now Ganja says it was a deathmatch clan, not TFC. So he's NOT going. He should make up his mind. Next time he says something like that, I'm not letting him back. Damn. Notice how I've reordered the news section buy the way :)!
-Ile

12.6.99
Oh my God! Ganja is going to another clan! He told me had "better" offers. Hmm, a better offer would be to give him money, but I doubt anyone would be dumb enough to give him money for being in their clan. I just think they either brainwashed Ganja or told stories of how great it would be if he were in their clan. Anyway, were not going to miss him. Hope he has a bad time at the other clan. Might as well erase him from our list...
-Ile

10.6.99
Another new member for our H-L TFC clan! Mr.Hanky! Now we've already got 5 members.
-Ile

7.6.99
I'm proud to welcome Thomas Murphy to be part of our H-L TFC clan. A certain Eraser might be joining also. I've also been planning a clan match with niCOOLas. Don't know if it will work, hopefully it will.
-Ile

30.5.99
Well, today i've been working on new races, skills, and two new continents for my RPG world. I'll probably post the two continents today or tomorrow. Not so sure about the races/skills, they will probably take more time. I've also thought about creating a cool sounds/images part on our site. I'd post new sounds and pics there for you to look/hear. Also download. If I do, I'll be asking for sounds/pics from all of you!
-Ile

24.5.99
Well, now i've made my decicion. I decided to create the H-L BMS Clan, and so I've opened up a special part for it on our page. I've also added my RPG stuff to our page, so be sure to check it out. Interested in joining our clan? Check out the info in the BMS Clan page.
-Ile

23.5.99
I've been thinking about starting a Half-Life Clan, the Black Magic Studios Clan (BMS), so, after talking to a few other guys, I do decide to create it, I'll be accepting applications to: bmstudios@hotmail.com. I'll probably decide tommorrow, and I'll put up the notice tommorrow also, so come back and see!
-Ile

13.5.99
Page is up! Otso Kirvelä and Arttu Jokinen quit Dragon Software to team up with Super Nova Software and create Black Magic Studios!
