JPJ Fun Facts

• Born John Baldwin in Sidcup, Kent January 3, 1946
• He grew up surrounded by music and is proficient in many different instruments.
• Jonesy had a very successful career as a session musician and arranger before joining Led Zeppelin.
• Took his name from a film about the Revolutionary War hero of the same name.
• He changed his appearance frequently whilst on tour with Led Zeppelin to avoid constant attention.
• Mo, his wife, is largely responsible for him joining Led Zeppelin and has also been the executive producer on Zooma and The Thunderthief.
• He likes to play mandolin while watching tv.
• Jonesy listens to a wide variety of music, from bluegrass to techno and everything in between.
• He is a big fan of Allison Krauss and Union Station, and mentions them often in interviews.
