Racing in August
August Races
- August 6 - Finished 5th in the Late Models at Lee. Need to find some more ponies under the hood.
- August 7 - Finished 3rd in the Pro Stocks at Star. Congrats to Pete Frappier for his win.
- August 13 - It was raining somewhere.
- August 14 - Twin 25's - 2nd in the first one; 4th in the second. What happened to the good ole days when race cars raced?
- August 27 - Lee. What were they thinking! These drivers can't race a regular 40 lap race without problems, but 3 segments of racing????? Bobby was again tackled by a so-called driver, who drove over him and never lifted. Bobby thought the kid was coming through his window net, and braced himself for a bad situation. The car then hit the wall. His breath was knocked out of him for a few minutes. The driveshaft is bent; the seat is twisted; Bobby is hurting! And that was in the first segment. By the time the third segment rolled around, half the field was wrecked. Because of a midnight curfew, the race was called at 91 laps. This isn't racing - this is a demolition derby.
- August 28 - Twin 25's - won the first one. Had to change the radiator because there was a hole in the bottom of it. The crew did a great job getting that done. Was running 4th in the second feature, when everyone checked up; unfortunately, the person behind Bobby didn't, hit him and spun him around. Had to start last, but worked his way back up to 7th or 8th.
