We Found Our Sister

We found our sister, Laurie Hudson in January of 2001. She arranged to meet Wayne at a truck stop in Calgary, and of course the press was there to cover the happy moment.

Wayne and Laurie meet for the first time after 42 years.

Wayne and Laurie hold each other for dear life as they have been apart for far too long. It was a bittersweet moment for them both as they clung to each other in joy at having found each other again.
They had a few hours together in Wayne's truck as they made the trip to Kelowna. Laurie was overjoyed to find her family.
She had almost given up hope, but trusted that the Lord would bring her a family.
She had no idea that she had not just a brother, and a mom and a dad, but another two sisters and another brother who were as anxious to meet her as she was to meet them.
Just a week before she had prayed to have a family, to have someone who cared for her, and her daughter Jennifer. She had never imagined what was in store.

Wayne, Darlene and Laurie

Of course if you found someone you had waited over 40 years to find again, you would have flowers - lots of them.
Wayne and his wife Darlene and Laurie cuddle up on the couch and give their biggest smiles for the camera.

Laurie, Jonothon, and Virginia together for the very first time.

Laurie and Bill

Now we are done Eating lets Kick back and relax!

Just a couple of clowns. You know the way we carried on you would think we had been together all our lives. We had so much fun.
It was wonderful that we all liked each other.

Family just having fun with each other. It's a wonderful feeling to be able to relax and just be with each other.

so lets get together and toss a couple back.

Now one with MOM

And of course we can't forget the extended family.

Or just the newfound auntie with her new neice and nephew.

We have been truly blessed to be brought back together.
Our time together was too short this time,
and we all pray that soon we will all be together again.
Laurie had to go back to her daughter - who we can't wait to meet!
Jennifer, if you happen to see this page,
just know that we can't wait to hold you too.
Keep coming back friends, so we can see you and you can see us.
Until then, let's hold each other in love and respect and joy!
