"Hey, I just finished the fall e-zine and enjoyed it, and girl I really like the part about redoing old dolls and clothes. I loved it! You are too much... Both dolls look so cute after they had their remake. You are good at restoring dolls, which inspired me to not pass up a diamond in the rough. Thanks again for the e-zine."

"Zee and Deb, The E-zine keeps getting better. Keep up the good work."

"Deb & Zee,

Thanks for the Fall 2002 issue notice. I really enjoyed reading the "Dolls in the Spotlight" section, as well as the other sections. The section entitled “Collector in the Spotlight” hit home a little for me, because she mentioned several times she didn’t have the same dolls from her childhood. I could really relate to that. I thought I would have my dolls forever, but mishaps lurking around the corner can be unavoidable. I know they are not real, but they were like siblings over the years seeing their familiar faces never changing a smile. Just when I think I’m “over” it I reminisce over a happy picture that was taken during a holiday or birthday or out of town relative visiting with a disheartening unintentional capture of my dolls in my china cabinet in the background.

I vowed I would never start a collection again, and then I found a doll that ‘snuck’ his way into our trip to Florida. It was a vinyl and plush pull string Master P doll I bought for only five dollars in a clearance at a dollar store a couple of months before I moved. He had absolutely no place in my Barbie, porcelain, or vinyl collection; but his gold teeth, rings and chains were hilarious. I could just imagine the other dolls saying…..”Eeewww, where did HE come from?!!” Have you ever bought something simply because it made you laugh or smile? Well anyway, I got angry a little because I was thinking out of all the dolls I could have I could accidentally brought along, it had to be THIS ONE!!!??? Fuming about the ears and nose, I stuffed it (still in its box) in the back of my closet.

I’m not angry anymore. Now I have two dolls. The other one is an AA Harley Davidson Barbie, my boss helped me to get. I’m still not sure if I want to start over, but I’m glad to see both of your efforts in enlightening, educating, and spreading the fun to collectors of black dolls. Also thanks for being a supportive resource for collectors of black dolls. For Zee and your Web business, and Deb and your upcoming book; I wish you both the best of luck in your ventures. “You go girl!”

"Hi Debbie and Zee,

As usual you have done a great job on your Fall Issue. What I found particularly interesting was the article on the 27 dolls with Afrocentric names. I loved the pictures and found alot of informative items to read about. Great Job!!
