Fall is here and winter is just around the corner!
Here are some dolls that you might want to add to your Christmas wish list.

FASHION DOLLS:

Continuing the still growing fascination with the 15-18" fashion dolls is Saffron Sunset Eve.
Introduced in 2000, Eve is designed and produced by Susan Wakeen.

Paris by Madame Alexander: Backstage Pass, VIP, and Festiva

Look at what Mattel has planned for Barbie 2003:  Princess of South Africa™ Barbie® doll proudly wears a traditional Ndebele-inspired dress. Its black and white patterning is topped with a colorful ngurara (intricately decorated blanket) cape. In Ndebele culture, tight-fitting neck rings are considered the most attractive and essential accessories. She wears golden-colored leg and neck rings called izixolwana. A golden and red headpiece and hoop earrings give her regal beauty. Finally, she carries her own dancing mace to carry on her heritage.
Coming in November
Do you know Kelly?  She's one of Barbie's little sisters and while she doesn't have the following that big sis has, she is a favorite among collectors and even has her own fan club.  Continuing with the Fairytale theme that was introduced with The Nutcracker series last year, is the Rapunzel series.

Marissa as the Angel Princess, Tommy as the Prince, and Kelly as the Petal Princess.
Not shown but also in the series is Barbie as Rapunzel (of course), and Ken as Prince Stefan.

Also new in the Kelly line is the Friends of the World collection.  Here is Kenya!  She wears a plaid dress, known as a rubeka, and a colorful collar and headband. She is accompanied by a tan cat with a fur collar that resembles a lion's mane.
The latest in the Bratz line is Fall Fashion Sasha!

The Lee Middleton Doll Co. makes some of the most adorable and collectible babies.  Love Makes the World go Round by artist Riva Schick is available for around $190.

8" Ginny has been around for years.  Produced by the Vogue Doll. CO, she is just as collectible as ever.

Wearing one of the traditional dresses of Africa, Ginny loves the deep hues of the fabric and the feel of the wooden beads on her neck. She enjoys digging her toes into the cool sands around the watering hole on the game preserve.

Robert Tonner introduced the widely popular Bee Charmer Betsy in 2000.  Even though a very limited quantity of this limited edition remains, you can now get Drew and Barbara dressed in variations of this charming outfit.  Bee Charmer Drew is dressed in a yellow ‘bee print’ under dress and Barbara wears a green and yellow striped variation.  $99
CED doll update:  The dolls began shipping in mid-September.  Constance Dash is already sold out, and Cara Emil Duncan is 90% gone.  The next doll, Colin, should be out in November, 2002.  These dolls are only available directly from DLD International.

We get a lot of e-mail asking for information on Black doll shows, and Black doll clubs.  The following list is of upcoming doll shows.  Please contact us if you are aware of any that are not mentioned.  If you would like to report on a doll show, we welcome that, too!  A list of Black Doll Clubs can be found on the FAQ page.
