More Mahler Links More Mahler Links

We understand that you have an interest in Mahler, and we are writing to request your support in a new project we have underway aimed at improving access to information about Mahler and connected subjects on the web.

There are already a number of superb resources available, (for example the Mahler List and the Gustav Mahler Home Page), but if you don't know where to find this sort of information, searching can be time consuming, frustrating and costly in phone charges. It is helpful if the pages you access initially following a search contain comprehensive links to other resources available, and for this reason we have constructed a links page at
LINKS
and we welcome all suggestions about further links we should add. We would also welcome links to this page - and of course if you operate a Mahler related site you are welcome to replicate links from our page as it evolves there - the aim is to make access to available resources easy for everybody.

We have also started a discussion forum at Mahler Discussion Mailing List . This of course adds to resources already available - but when you have material of interest to post, please bear us in mind too! The more places information is posted the more rapidly it disseminates. (By the way, if you have a project which you think would benefit from a forum or similar resource, please contact us - if it is primarily non-commercial and seems a worthwhile addition to the resources on the web we will organise it without charge)

You will note that our links page is at the website of Elius Books. This site was created to promote "An Affinity with Gustav Mahler" and interesting book from 13 variegated contributors (their details are at Mahler Books) which can be ordered directly from this site. Elius Books is a small publisher created specifically to bring this publication into being, and we would like to think that a brave project like this (everyone involved is a devoted Mahlerite) can at least break even and lead to further, similar projects, which is why we are supporting it on our discussion forum too. If you agree, we'd ask you to visit the site, read about it and perhaps consider ordering a copy.

Yours faithfully
