"Cold Weather" 7"

Shyster is a hard band to pin down. Some of you may be more familiar with their blazing melodic punk but this 7" is a bit different. The songs on "Cold Weather" retain the catchy, melodic edge that makes this band great but with even more emphasis on melody and vocals. As songwriters, Shyster are becoming even more complex, relying less on speed and more on tightly crafted songs that will have you hooked in their intricacies. First 500 are on blue vinyl so grab 'em while they're still around! Here's what the zines are saying so far...

"Shyster plays solid, collisionary rhythms that really take off; they are a very tight, very emo punk band who don't appear to have been taking their mood-regulating medication. Bundled up guitar sound and strong heathen-like vocals."
Spank #27

"...aggressive punk rock with emo-overtones and massive melodies. As Shyster's sound progresses, their newer material is getting better and better."
Impact Press #18

"Cool sleeve, it looks like silkscreened heavy cardboard. Very much in the vein of Jawbreaker...Musically these guys hit pretty heavily, loud and tight. Art, passion, and intensity-I don't reckon fans of the emo-pop branch of the pop-punk tree will be disappointed in the least."
Mutant Pop

"Firmament has put out some fantastic single(s) (AKA Tiltwheel) and Orlando's Shyster do not let us down. Extremely original because of the edge they create with trading off the lead instrument's role from drums to bass to guitar. Each instruments allotted their time to step out of the song's mold and add a unique flair that creates some amazing highlights. This single passed quickly if only because of my extreme desire to hear a full length from this band."
