A pretty little red-haired girl is the victim of incest at an early age. Such victims are taught that he/she, not the abuser, is the guilty one. Barbra's whole life and the lives of her children bore the legacy of such pain: crossed racial barriers, family rejection, spousal abuse, single parenting and poverty, etc. Barbra is a survivor…a most interesting one at that.
