On August 7, 1999 Allan Dzuik decided to take his grandchildren Robbie and Amanda fishing in Waianae for a few hours to have some fun. After working the ledges for small tuna most of the morning, Capt Hank decided to try R bouy. On approaching the bouy, they were greeted with a nice blue marlin grabbing the short corner lure and starting an amazing series of acrobatic leaps. Robbie, visiting from View Crest, California(close to san diego) jumped into the chair and buckled up. Handling the Penn 130st like a pro, Robbie proceeded to work the fish through a series of runs and jumps. The physical strain of fighting such a large fish was terrific for such a young man, however, Robbie was determined. Allan guided the chair and provided lots of encouragement as the fight wore on. finally, the mate(bob moore of waianae) was able to grab leader and subdue the fish. PACIFIC BLUE MARLIN 118 pounds!!!!! GREAT JOB ROBBIE!!!!(pictures soon)
