TACITUS (born 200 CE - died 276, ruled 275-276 CE)***

M.  __________

* Marcus Antoninus Pius COMMODUS (born 161, died 192 CE).

** Crispina Bruttia (d. 183 CE) aka his sister “Lucilla”? Both died the same

year. He (COMMODUS) had over 300 sons by as many concubines and no

telling how many daughters. None of his sons appear to have become emperors.

They were probably made eunichs and served as royal slaves.

*** TACITUS and FLORIAN were half-brothers, they had the same mother, but

different fathers. Their mother was Pescennia Marcellina, sister of PESCENNIUS

NIGER. TACITUS’ father was MACRINUS while FLORIAN’s father was

PUPIENUS. This answers what has baffled even the greatest of historians for many,

many years.
