This web site tells the story of Linen and flax around the world and how its was
made.
Including a section on history of the industry in the Limavady area (Northern,
Ireland) and Ireland up to early twentieth century.
The bible mentions both flax and linen many times for example for flax Exodus 9:31: "(The flax and barley were destroyed, since the barley had headed and the flax was in bloom." New International Version (1984)
