- 1986: George Drakoulias(A&M Rep.) see's one of Chris and Rich's live gig's in New York.
- 1987: Steve Gorman joins the band on drums.
- 1988: Mr. Crowes Garden is formed in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 1989: Signed record contract with "Def American" Records/Renamed as the Black Crowes
- 1989: Johnny Colt joins the band a week before recording the Crowes debut album.
- 1990: The Crowes Debut Album: "Shake Your Money Maker" is released.
- March.1991: Crowes fired from the "ZZ-top" tour after Chris Robinson mentioned sarcastic remarks about the tour's commercialism.
- 1991: Ed Harsch join's the band's lineup as Keyboard player for the rest of the tour.
- May.1991: Chris Robinson arrested for "assault and disturbing the peace" after a argument with a women in a convenience store.
- May.1991: Black Crowes appear on the cover of the Rolling Stone!
- Late.1991: Chris Robinson collapses on tour in the U.K. from malnutrition and exhaustion. After his recovery, Crowes play in Moscow on the "Monsters of Rock Tour".
- Shortly after, Late 1991: Jeff Cease, leaves the band (or was kicked out)./ Marc Ford from "Burning Tree" fills the 2nd guitarist spot.
- Spring.1992: The Crowes second album "The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion" is released and debuts at #1 on the Billboard charts.
- Summer/1992-93: Extensive "High as the Moon Tour" begins.
- 1994: The Crowes Third album "Amorica" is released debuts at #11 on the Billboard charts.
- 1994-95: "Amorica or Bust Tour"
- Early 1996: Black Crowes go to court against Kevin Jillings over early managerial contract dispute. (aired on Court TV)
- February 16,1996: Mistrial declared and Crowes end up settling with Jillings on an amount undisclosed to public.
- 1996: Rich Robinson and his wife Emma's first child Taylor(babyboy) is born.
- August 27,1996: Black Crowes appear at "The Bottom Line" in NYC. They perform in front of a audience to record a episode of "VH1's Storytellers".
-October,1996: Johnny Colt marries fiance Rosie.
- November,1996: Chris Robinson marries fiance Lala.
- 1997: The Crowes Fourth album "Three Snakes and One Charm: is released.
- 1997: The "Three Snakes" tour begins.
- 1997-98: Crowes Headline "Horde Tour" and the "Further Festival".
- August 7th.1997: Marc Ford is asked to leave the band, due to drug related to problems./Audley Freed fills in for the tour.
- October 22.1997: Johnny Colt, leaves the band/ Dec 29.1997: Sven Pipien fills Johnnys boots on bass.
- 1998: Chris divorces wife Lala.
- 1998: Black Crowes "Sho' Nuff" Boxed Set is released.
- 1998: The Crowes "Sho'Nuff" tour begins.
- Late.1998: Small Club tour begins, warming up for the Crowes "Souled out Tour" and fifth album release "By Your Side".
- Early.1999: The Black Crowes fifth Album "By Your Side" is released.
- 1999: Crowes share bill with Lenny Kravitz on tour and begin the "Souled out" Tour.
- Fall.1999: Crowes begin small tour with Jimmy Page.
- Columbia Records record contract with Crowes ends, and Crowes are up for renewal, possible new record label.
