Amethyst: This is a calming stone, also it is believed that this stone can cure hangovers. The name is also Greek and means "without drunkeness".
Anatase: This rare eight-sided mineral means "stretch up" in Greek.
Beryl: The stone is believed to give one strength.
Carnelian: This stone improves one's mood, and means "flesh" in Latin.
Cinnabar: This stone is used to protect objects from negative energy and being stolen.
Coral: This stone encourages growth.
Crystal: A harmonizing stone, this Greek name means "ice".
Diamond: this stone represents honesty.
Emerald: People who wear this stone believe they will gain love and wisdom. Emerald means "green" in Persian.
Flint: This common stone is used today for divining underground treasures.
Galena: This mineral calms people.

Mica: Supposedly, this stone expands one's intuitive awareness.
Onyx: A very common stone to use for Rosaries, this stone improves devotion and concentration.
Opal: Believed to enhance the inner beauty, this Greek name means "eye".
Pearl: This stone stimulates femininity.
Ruby: The stone of everlasting love, the Latin name means "red".
Sapphire: The Sanskrit name means "Beloved of Saturn" and is a symbol of natural science, astronomy and astrology.
