Project Overview...
1. Description of our community:
In the western part of Mindanao, the CITY OF GOLDEN FRIENDSHIP is located, no other than Cagayan de Oro City. This City is known for its warm residents. They are very hospitable. Here, friendship is greatly cherished. Our city has greatly changed during the previous years. From the rural style to urban way of living. There are now lots of infrastructures that are built in the city. Today, this city is already competitive to other leading cities in the Philippines. Education here is also greatly emphasized. Because many people here are already literate, finding jobs here are easy. In fact, so many residents from far-away land like Bukidnon and others are searching for fortune here. I am just plainly proud I'm a Kagay-anon.
2. Summary of our project:
Our project talks about the other side of the story. The bad stuffs.Unfortunately, because our city is rapidly growing, the Cagayan de Oro River is also neglected by the people here. That's why we made the initiative to make this website. And to open the minds of the people that never cared for Mother Earth.
3. Our Computer and Internet Access

d. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the internet: 4 years
4. Problems we had to overcome
This is the most interesting part of making our project. As
you all know Cagayan de Oro is located in Mindanao, and that gives you ideas of
the terrorists. Oddly, during the making of this website, the terrorist group
attacked the supply of water (Maria Christina Falls).Thus, there were almost 2
days of brown outs. And we were so scared. But with the help of God, the
terrorists stopped terrorizing.
5. How did your activities and research for this Philippine Schools Cyberfair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
This certain project helped us to be more aware of Mother nature. This focuses not only English, but also History. And of course, the Values Subject because it emphasizes in helping Mother Earth become Mother Earth again.

6. What information tools and technologies did you use to complete your
Cyberfair Project? We used these to finish our Cyberfair
7. In what ways did you act as “ambassadors” and spokespersons for your Cyberfair project both on-line and in-person.
We helped by interviewing residents near the river and in the process telling them that they should not throw dirty and yucky garbage in the river. Though that is a simple thing, but that greatly helped the river. Also, by actually acting. Like we cleaned some parts near the river. Though it was tiring, it was fun.
8. What has been the impact of your project on your community?
Actually, we are not the only group who wants to help the river. Almost all schools here have the program to help keep Cagayan de Oro River clean.
By doing interviews, those interviewed were also feeling guilty by doing things they shouldn't do and they are now more aware of the dangers that will come if the river will be neglected.
9. Discoveries, Lessons, Surprises
Obviously, the lesson learned here is to help keep Cagayan de Oro River clean. We thought the residents near the river is not concerned for the river, but they are really concerned.
