Wes Harmon
May 8, 1928 ~ September 4, 2020

Wes was one of the founding members of the original Racing Club in the
Wabash Valley - the Sycamore Haven Pigeon Racing Club. He helped form the club in the 1960s
and was an active member through the 1990s winning many races over those years.
Wes loved the long distance races and had a very special Red Check Cock that was a fly-in
from Springfield IL. That old boy bred Wes many winners over the years!!

Obituary
Wesley Harmon, 92, of Shelburn, IN passed away Friday September 4, 2020 at the IU Health West Hospital in Avon, IN

He was born in Shelburn, IN May 8, 1928 the son of Frederick Harmon and Mable(Wise) Harmon.

Wesley served in the Army and the Army National Guard, and was a member of Shelburn American Legion Post #197. He retired from the Ohio Valley Gas Co.

Wes enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, racing homing pigeons, playing country music with his many friends and family. God Bless you Dad, (so long) for now; never a good bye. Love you much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marilyn (Brewer) Harmon in 2011, two sons, Michael Harmon, Fred Harmon, a brother, Bob Lewis, and two sisters, Geraldine Walker, and Mona Trobridge.

Survivors include a daughter, Nina Jones (Mark) of Jasonville, IN, a granddaughter, Devlan Harmon and a grandson, Wes Harmon (Darla), a daughter in-law, Carol Harmon two great grandchildren, Adyn, and Brody several nieces and nephews
