Chapter Ten Samara brushed her hair out, smiling as she thought about her husband who was downstairs setting a few things up. She looked in the mirror seeing a glow in her eyes that hadn't been there since she had found out about the cancer. For so long, she had thought that Joey was afraid to touch her, but she now knew that it was the complete opposite.

She sprayed on some perfume and fluffed her hair one last time before slipping on her robe and making her way down the hall towards the stairs. She could her the faint sound of music coming from downstairs and she smiled when she finally recognized the song. "Very good choice," she said only loud enough to catch his attention when she was half way down the steps.

He turned around and smiled when he saw her making her way towards him, a coy smile plastered on her lips. "I thought you might like it."

I've been really tryin , baby
Tryin to hold back these feelings for so long
And if you feel, like I feel baby
Come on, oh come on,

Let's get it on
Let's get it on
Let's get it on
Let's get it on

"Trying to send a message to me, Joe?" she asked as she stepped in front of him and cocked her eyebrows. She ran her hands over his back, feeling the muscles tightening under her touch.

"Oh yeah," he smirked backing her up towards the wall, smiling as her eyes widened with surprise when she made contact. "I think you like the message that I'm trying to send."

"Hmm..maybe," she said, closing her eyes as he lowered his head down so that his lips could meet hers in a soft sensual kiss that the two of them often shared when they were alone together.

We're all sensitive people
With so much love to give, understand me sugar
Since we got to be
Lets say, I love you

There's nothin wrong with me
Lovin you---
And givin yourself to me can never be wrong
If the love is true

She let her hands slide up to where they were in his brown hair, her fingers gently massaging his scalp. For the first time in months, everything felt normal between the two of them. She was welcoming his touch instead of pushing him away whenever he would try and get intimate with her. She had been the one afraid, not him.

She felt his fingers lightly touch her skin as he removed the robe, leaving her standing there in a silk blue chemise that he had often commented on as being his favorite thing that she owned. He removed his lips from hers and let them slid over her skin, placing feather like kisses up and down the column of her neck, sometimes pausing to suck on her sweet skin.

"Oh Joe," she breathed as she opened her eyes and looked around at all the candles that he had lite for the two of them. "I love you."

"I love you too," he mumbled against her skin as he fell to his knees and placed kisses on her stomach through the thin material that she wore.

Don't you know how sweet and wonderful, life can be
I'm askin you baby, to get it on with me
I aint gonna worry, I aint gonna push
So come on, come on, come on, come on baby
Stop beatin round the bush....

Let's get it on
Let's get it on
Let's get it on
Let's get it on

As the song ended, he stood up and picked her up, carring her over to the couch and gently lying her body down on the plush material. He gently positioned himself above her, his lips immediately finding their way back to hers. There was nothing rushed about his touch, it was just slow and sensual the way that he knew she enjoyed it. The thoughts of Katherine and the cancer were slowly pushed from her mind as she let him have complete control over her body and senses.
"I wonder how Joey and Samara's night is going?" JC randomly commented causing Melissa to smile.

"Oh I can only imagine..but she really needed to spend some quality time alone with him."

"I agree," JC said as he turned his attention back to the two young girls that were quitely playing in the floor. His smile brightened as he watched Katherine look over in his direction and blow him a kiss. He caught it in the palm of his hand and placed it next to his heart and sending a wink in her direction.

Melissa chuckled before raising her eyebrows up. "You wouldn't secretly have feelings for a five year old would you?"

He let his own laughter join in with hers before shaking his head and leaning over to press a soft kiss against her forehead. "i can't say that..but that little girl has a strong hold on my heart."

"You guys really do care a lot for her, don't you?"

"She's like our own child, Mel..I don't know what I would do if something bad ever happened to her."

"Dont' think like that," Melissa scolded softly as she leaned over and rested her head against his shoulder. "One day, we're going to be doing this very same thing with kids of our own."

"That's kind of scary," he joked, chuckling when she lightly punched him in the side. "I can only imagine what Katherine will be like around them..she'll constantly want to set an example."

"That's true."

JC watched as Katherine yawned, signaling that her little body was beginning to tire. "I think its time for two certain young girls to go to bed."

"No!" Katherine cried, jumping up and running over to him, her little hand resting against his knee. "Just a little longer, Uncle Jace!"

"I don't know..we're going to take you two to the park tomorrow and you don't want to be tired, now do you?" he asked her, picking her up as she shook her head no. Melissa walked over and picked up Mary and following JC to the guestroom where the two girls would be staying.

As she watched JC tuck the two of them in, she smiled knowing that one day JC would be a great father. She slid her hand down to where it rested on her stomach and smiled. 'It won't be long before he'll have that chance.'
