After getting his hair just right, he sprayed on some cologne, and turned the light off in the bathroom. He made his way into the kitchen of the house where the guys were staying, and looked at Jacob who had just woken up. He watched in amusement as his bandmates face looked at him with surprise. "What the hell are you doing up so early?"
"I'm going out to breakfast with our future publicist."
"That sound really good...maybe we should all go that way we can get to know her and she can get to know us," Jacob said, knowing that Ashley was going to shoot the offer down. He watched in enjoyment as his friend thought of an answer. After he remained quiet, Jacob had to laugh. "Bro, you know I'm just kiddin you."
Ashley relaxed and looked out the window. "She's really pretty," he said, trying to make conversation until it was time for him to leave. Since the guys were all having to share one car, he had made arrangements to have a second come and pick him up.
Jacob took a drink of his orange juice and smiled knowingly. "You've already fallen for her."
Ashley rolled his eyes. "Whatever man..you better get the rest of the guys up. My rides here and I'm out," he said, grabbing his hat and sticking it in his back pocket. "I'll see you in a few," he said before walking out the door. On the way over to transcon, he became anxious and nervous all at once, which wasn't the greatest feeling in the world. This morning when he had woke up, he had been afraid that he would be too tired to actually come off as a nice person when they met up, but now he was seeing that things were going to be fine. Especially since his eyes were wide and he was awaiting to see her again.
"You know I don't care," he said, before giving her a teasing kiss. "I want you all to myself today, and that's the way its going to be," he said, quickly before covering her mouth with his to stop any protests that would be coming from her. She knew there was no use in trying to fight him until his control was almost to the point of being gone, so she relaxed and allowed him to continue the torture on her lips.
After he figured he had her to where she was going to stay, he rolled over so that he was on his back and pulled her along with him, which was an advantage to her. She kissed him deeply, before pulling back and jumping off the bed, and heading towards the bathroom. She could here his protests coming from the other side of the door as she turned the water on to the shower.
It took her a total of thirty minutes to get ready, and as she walked out of the bathroom, she couldn't help but smile when she saw him laying on the bed, pouting at her. "Just lose the look, Timberlake, I'm strong enough to fight it so don't even try."
He sighed before getting off the bed and walking to stand in front of her. "Why won't you stay with me? Its my first day back and I haven't seen you in like three months..."
Her eyes darted up to meet his. "Its been a month..remember I did come and visit you. But you have to remember now, Justin, I have a job and responsibility, so I have to go now," she said, leaning in for a goodbye kiss. His arms encircled her, bringing her tighter against him, and she couldn't supress a sigh at how perfect everything seemed to be. "Justin..." she said, as she felt his lips leave hers and start trailing down her neck.
"Are you sure you won't stay with me," he whispered, as he paused to suck lightly on her neck.
"Damnit, Justin..don't you dare give me a hickey...." she said, before reaching up to pull his head up and press her lips to his quickly, before dodging to get away from him. "I'll be home later on..I love you," she said, before winking at him and running down the stairs.
He groaned as he watched her retreating figure. "That girl.." he said into the empty room, before a smile broke across his face. "That's my girl."
Her head turned as she followed his voice, and she smiled when she saw him standing there. She walked up to him before standing directly in front of him. "Hey, Ashley..its good to see you again," she said as the two of them began to head towards the awaiting car.
"Where do you want to go?" he asked, opening the door, allowing her to get in.
She shook her head. "I really don't care, just some breakfast sounds really good."
He nodded his head before turning to the driver. "Take us anywhere where there is breakfast."
He turned back to her a goofy grin on his face. "I'm still not use to everything in Orlando...so I'm hoping we get to go somewhere good."
They made small talk on the ride to the restuarant, but half way over, her cell phone began to ring. She apologized to him before bringing it up to her ear. "Where the hell are you?" Justin's angry voice said, breaking her out of her daze.
"I'm on my way to breakfast right now, Justin. Chill hun," she said, rolling her eyes at Ashley. "Why?"
His voice was somewhat calmer as he spoke to her. "I just called your office and you weren't there, and they said that they hadn't seen you, so I was just making sure that nothing had happened to you..."
"Justin..I really need to go, babe."
He sighed. "I don't like your new job..its taking time away from me.."
"You'll live..now I'll see you later, bye," she said, hanging up before he could respond. "Ashley, I'm sorry about that."
His curiosity was taking over his mind, and he couldn't stop the next question from coming out of his mouth. "Who's Justin?"
She took a deep breath. "Justin...that's my boyfriend...you know who he is."
"Justin Timberlake?" he asked, his heart falling right before his eyes.
She nodded her head. "We've been together for a while...and he just got home from a tour..so he's a little controling right now."
"Oh," he said, not knowing anything else to say. There was silence until they got out of the car to walk in to eat. He pushed away the jealousy that he was feeling, and enjoyed having her company, often reminding himself that she was someone that he couldn't have.
She stood up and stretched before walking over and throwing the door back, to reveal a smiling Justin. She pulled him into her small office and looked at him before shaking her head. "You just had to check up on me."
He kissed her before replying. "Hey..I just wanted to see what you did around here. You know, check up, make sure the guys are keeping their distance, and say hi to a few friends that didn't actually screw us over."
"Does Lou know you're here?" she asked, trying to pull away from Justin's arms that were wrapped around her. He watched in enjoyment as she squirmed trying to break free from his hold. He shook his head, but remained quiet.
"What?" she asked, his penetrating gaze starting to get to her. She could feel herself melting every second that they stood there. When he knew that she was enjoying standing there with him, he removed his arms and walked over to sit down in her chair. "What are you reading?"
She took a deep breath before walking over to him. "Those are the papers I'm suppose to read and sign so they can finalize me being Otown's publicist." She couldn't hide her smile as he frowned. "What?" she asked, sitting down on his lap.
"Why don't you become our publicist...."
"You have a publicist, Justin. Besides, JIVE wouldn't hire me for the simple fact that we are dating, and you know the controversey that would be created if they did." She picked up another paper and skimmed over it before signing at the bottom.
His strong hands reached around and snatched the pen from her, which caused her to sigh. "Justin, incase you can't see, I have a lot to do, and I don't have time for your cute games right now."
After he dropped the pen on the floor, he rubbed his thumb across her hand that was resting on the desk. Her eyes followed his movement, as she felt her hand go numb. "Justin," she murmered, turning around so she could look at him. His eyes were sparkling as he looked into hers, and she felt the office disappear. They were slowly leaning into each other when there was a knock on the door.
Justin sighed in frustration as she took a deep breath to calm her racing heart, and walked over to the door. She pulled it open to see the five guys that she would be working with very soon. "Hi guys," she said, trying to find a way to get them out of there quickly.
"Hi...we're suppose to let you know that there is going to be a meeting in about a half hour that Lou wants you at. He tried to call you and let you know about it, but he recieved a message saying that you weren't accepting calls."
She smiled when she knew who was responsible for that. "I'll be there..thanks guys," she said, before shutting the door, and turning the lock. She turned to walk back towards Justin, but was standing right behind her. "You're evil, you know that," she said, referring to what he had done with her calls.
He shrugged before licking his lips. "I didn't want any interruptions so I could do this," he said , as his lips met hers.
She opened the door and headed staight for the couch, where Justin was sitting reading a magazine. His eyes looked at her, before returning back to the article that he was reading. She laid down to where her head was resting on his lap, and felt her eyes start to close. "Rough day, sweetie?" he asked, putting down the magazine and stroking her hair.
"From your actions today and reading everything, I'd have to say yeah," she said, a small smile playing on her lips as her mind recalled their actions from earlier.
She sat up and snuggled into his chest. "I want to go to bed.."
"Nope, we're going out tonight," Justin said as he kissed her forehead.
She groaned in protest. "Let's just stay in...we can order a pizza and watch a movie..or you can while I sleep and regain some of the energy that you took from me!"
He chuckled. "Well...as long as you stay down here with me I guess that's ok. What did you find out in that meeting you went to after you know.." he said, raising his eyebrows up and down teasingly.
She chuckled as she placed her hand on his chest. "I found out when we leave for tour," she said, looking up so she could see his reaction. He groaned. "Why do I have a feeling I'm not going to like the date?"
She chuckled before touching his cheek. "I leave in a month."
He groaned again, this time louder. "No..please tell me you didn' say you were leaving me in 31 days.. Babydoll, I just got home from tour and now you're leaving..."
"You know, whinning isn't the best of your qualities, Justin. But you know you can come and see me! Its not the end of the world and besides their tour isn't a monster tour like yours. Its a month and a half. We've went a long time without seeing each other before."
"But we weren't dating then, Whitney and I didn't think I needed you as much as I do now."
"You only need some ass, Justin and you know it!" she joked, as she stood up stretching. His fingers reached up to tickle the skin that had been exposed from her short shirt rising. "You know I need you for other reasons than sex, but hey the sex part is nice."
"What would your fans think if they new what a horn-dog you are, Justin? Their beloved thrusty justy livin up to his name. I bet they'd be proud," she said, making her way towards the phone to call in a pizza.
He shurgged his shoulders and leaned back on the couch, resting his hands behind his head. "They'd probably say 'Go Justin..get freaky'..." he joked. His face lite up when he heard her laugh. He closed his eyes, while a huge grin was on his face. These moments made spending time with her seem even more precious than they already were.
