Denise sat down on the chair that was in the cloudy room that she was in. She put her head in her hands, and racked her brain to find a way to figure out what event in her life, could help her wake up. All she could draw was a blank. She had thought of all the wonderful moments she had shared with Justin, and nothing was working. She was running out of events, and she was beginning to worry.

What if it wasn't meant for her to wake up? That couldn't be the case, or she wouldn't be at the point she was now. She raised her head up, and looked into the room that she could see. Justin was in there now, and holding her hand, talking to her in a last attempt to wake her up. She wanted so much to be with him, but she couldn't. "DAMNIT!" she cried in frustration.

"Frustration won't get you anywhere," Becky's voice said, a second before she came into view.

"I don't care! If it helps clear my mind, then it works."

Becky chuckled, but immediately shut up when Denise's eyes narrowed and looked at her. "I don't see what possibly could be funny right now, considering that my time is running out here..."

Becky shook her head. "Somethings will never change, Denise. There's a clue to what you're suppose to be searching your heart, body, and mind."

"What the hell is that suppose to help me do? That just confuses me more."

Becky winked before turning to walk away. "Maybe confusion is the key to this whole process. Dig into all areas that you can, Denise. Digging too much is a lot better than not digging deep enough."

Denise sighed as she watched Becky disappear into the shadows. She turned her attention back to what was happening in the room, and smiled when she saw Justin singing to her gently. She closed her eyes and let his soft, gentle voice take over her thoughts.

Can this be true
Tell me can this be real
How can I put into words what I feel
My life was complete
I thought I was whole
Why do I feel like I'm losing control
Never thought that love could feel like this
And you changed my world with just one kiss
How can it be that right here with me is an angel
Its a miracle
Your love is like a river
Peaceful and deep
Your soul is like a secret that I never could keep
When I look into your eyes I know that its true
God must have spent a little more time on you

Denise opened her eyes and looked back down at him. Being up here and watching him, gave her a new reason to love him. He wasn't giving up on her, and that meant that she couldn't give up on him. He could help her overcome this. All she had to do was find the one thing that was the key to fighting this, and if it was the last thing she did, she would figure out what it was. She wasn't ready to let him go, and she knew that she'd do anything to keep him in her life.

Denise watched as Whitney walked into the room. She listened to the conversation that was taking place, but purely because she had a feeling in her stomach unlike she had ever felt before.

Whitney placed her hand on Justin's shoulder before giving it a light squeeze. He turned around and smiled lightly at seeing her. "Justin, can I ask you something?" she asked quietly.

His blue eyes looked at her, and he nodded his head, before turning his attention back to Denise. "You know you can ask me anything."

"You probably don't wanna talk about this..but its just a thought that you might be able to stir something in her body..I know this sounds crazy..but maybe if you talk about the past."

He chuckled softly as he looked at her. "You're too cute, Whit. But I don't mind talking about her. She's great and the past that she has been apart of has helped me so much, I don't even know where to begin."

Whitney leaned up against the railing of the bed and looked at all the monitors that were surrounding Denise. "Just tell me about the one thing that stands out most in your mind."

Justin smiled as he recalled the memory. "That's an easy one. It would probably be the time that She, I and Jonathon spent the day together. The two of them were just so cute together, and he really attached to her. And you know that's rare..you're the only other girl that he's really open around. But he really opened up to her, and ...I don't know..I just found that to be touching."

He stroked her cheek gently. "Just seeing the two of them together made me feel like for once, there was something totally complete in my life. My career was stable, I had friends that I knew were always going to be there for me, and now I had found a girl that not only accepted me for who I am, but had also welcomed in a member of my family, and not pushed him away like most of the girls I have dated."

Whitney smiled and reached up to brush away one of the tears that had fallen from his eyes. "Listen to me, Justin. So many more of those moments are going to be created. Don't give up on that dream."

He sighed and raised her hand up to his mouth to kiss it gently. "Whitney, I'm not giving up on her...I just need her to pull through this faster than she is. I need her so much..its taken this to make me truly see how much she means to me. I feel horrible that its taken this situation to make me see what my heart has been telling me all along."

Whitney shook her head gently. "You're wrong, Justin. Don't feel bad...sometimes it takes these situations to open our eyes, and there's nothing you can do about it, except embrace the fact that you've taken a step in the "love" process."

Denise turned her attention away from the two of them, and recalled what Justin had been talking to. She had loved spending time with Jonathon. It had been a delight to get to see how the two brothers had interacted, and knowing that she was able to get Jon to open up, was a gift that she would always treasure. She sat down on a chair and leaned her elbows over so that they rested on her knees. Her eyes closed, and she remembered what the three of them had done that day.

Justin stopped in front of his mom's house, and opened the door. Denise's eyes looked up at the house, and she grinned when she saw the door open and a little boy came running out. Justin's arms stretched out, and he lifted Jon off the ground and hugged him tightly to his chest. "I've missed you little guy," he said, swinging him around.

Jon giggled. "I missed you too, Justy," he said, as he looked over towards Denise, and burrowed himself closer to Justin's chest. "Who's she?" he asked, in a small frightened voice.

Justin laughed sweetly and smiled at Denise. "This my dear bud, is my girlfriend, Denise. Say hi to her."

A small hand reached out and she grasped it lightly, afraid that she might break it. "It's nice to meet you, Jon...I've heard a lot about you."

He smiled a goofy child grin, before turning his attention back to Justin. "What are we going to do today?"

"Well first, we're going to go tell mom that we're leaving and then its up to you where you want to go."

"Yay! I get to pick..I wanna get a hamburger! And then I wanna go play putt putt."

Justin chuckled. "Slow down, little man...we'll have plenty of time to do stuff."

After they had said bye to his mom, the three of them headed off in Justin's car. They had ended up eating at McDonalds and then going to play minature golf. To other people, it might have looked like an outing between three people, but Denise would never forget what Jon had said to her on the tenth hole.

The background for the hole had been a waterfall, and the two of them had been standing to the side, allowing Justin room to take his putt. Jon had pulled on her hand to get her attention, and Denise had looked down at him to reveal him looking at her with bright blue eyes. "Do you like Justy a lot?"

She smiled at him before nodding her head. "He's a wonderful guy."

"Are the two of you going to end up married?"

He was too adorable. "I don't know, Jon. We haven't been together that long, but who knows. "

"I hope you do. I like you, Nes," he said, calling her by the nickname he had officially gave her. "If he lets you go..I'll kick his butt for you."

Those simple words had touched her heart so much, and there was no way to describe the feeling that his young wisdom had created for her. Her eyes had watered with tears, and she had reached down to hug him. "Thank you, Jon. That means a lot to me."

Before Denise could speak outloud to herself, Becky appeared beside her and flashed her a wide smile. "Denise..you did it. You dug into that one place that you didn't think you could. It's time for you to go back now. I'll see you when you come back, which hopefully won't be soon," Becky said, before reaching over and giving her friend a tight hug.

Denise looked back at her with a dumb look on her face. "But..wait..I..." before she could finish, the room she was in disappeared. The next thing she knew, her eyes were starting to flutter, and there was an imense pain in her head.

"OHMIGOD, Justin...I'm going to get the doctor," Whitney said, running out of the room. Justin looked at Denise, and couldn't stop the tears from pouring down his face. He leaned down and kissed her forehead. She just stared up at him, not saying anything. She couldn't believe it. She was back with him. "Justin," she said, trying her best to smile, but found that it hurt to move any facial muscles.

"Shh...Denise..its ok."

She felt her hand being removed from his as the doctors came in the room. She didn't fight them, but just laid there and allowed them to do whatever they needed to do.

Meanwhile, Whitney leaned into Justin and smiled. "I told you she was going to make it."

He kissed her forehead as the rest of the guys came in the room. JC wrapped his arms around her waist and smiled as he saw Denise laying there with her eyes open. "Thank God this hell is over," he said.

Justin smiled and wiped away his tears. "I have to agree with you on that. She's back with me...everything is going to be just fine from now on. I promise her that."
