Chapter Seven

Whitney walked down the stairs to her basement. She could hear music softly playing in the background. There was a note stuck on the door, and she carefully pulled it off and read it.

You made it. I hope you don't hate me too much for all the stuff you've went through to get here. When you open the door, do it with your eyes close. You've come this far, don't ruin the surprise. I'm waiting, Jc.

Jc knew she was standing on the other side of the door. Even with music playing she could still here her breathing. His heart could pick up on it a mile away. He looked around the room, and smiled. Everything was perfect. It wasn't the best that he could have done, but he wasn't perfect, and he knew she didn't expect him to be.

His breath quickened when he saw the door open. Her eyes were closed, and he inhaled sharply at the sight standing before him. She looked absolutely beautiful. He regained his composure, and walked over to her. His hands slid around her waist, and he bent down to whisper in her ear.

"Whatever you do, don't open your eyes yet."

She nodded, and allowed him to guide her to where they were going. She couldn't see him, but her sense kicked in and the smell of him alone was enough to make her want him.

They came to a stop, and she felt his arms tighten around her. "You can open your eyes now."

She didn't want to. It was enough standing here with him so close to her, that she didn't need to see anything else. But, her curiosity did want to know what he was up to. Her eyes slowly opened, and she gasped.

Before her was flowers, candles, and fake butterflies. She turned to look at him. "You remembered."

"Of course," he said, as his eyes took her in again. He couldn't get enough of her.

Her eyes began to water, and she had to smile. When they had first met, she had told him of her perfect night. It had been just exactly like her basment was now. She let her eyes roam over him. He was dressed in a pair of black dress pants, dark button up blue shirt, a pair of black dress shoes, and his hair had been frosted and spiked. He looked handsome.

"You look great, Jc," she said, as she sat down on the blanket that was laid out for them.

"You look breathtaking. I hope you're not too disappointed..but I couldn't do everything I wanted to do. I wanted to wisk you off to Rome or some place, but we don't have the time for that...atleast not now."

She held her fingers up to his lips. "Shh, this is perfect, I wouldn't want it any other way," she said, as the song in the cd player changed.

"Can I have this dance," he said holding out his hand. She nodded her head, and they began to sway to the music.

I do, I do, I do, I do

All I am, all I'll be

Everything in this world

All that I'll ever need

Is in your eyes

Shining at me

When you smile I can feel

All my passion unfolding

Your hand brushes mine

And a thousand sensations

Seduce me 'cause I

I do cherish you

For the rest of my life

You don't have to think twice

I will love you still

From the depths of my soul

It's beyond my control

I've waited so long to say this to you

If you're asking do I love you this much

I do

"The words to this song are so true," Jc said, as his hands rubbed up and down her back. She shivered from the tingles he was shooting down her back.

"I love you, Jc."

In my world, before you

I lived outside my emotions

Didn't know where I was going

'Til that day, I found you

How you opened my life

To a new paradise

In a world torn by change

Still with all of my heart

'Til my dying day

I do (I'll cherish you my baby)

Cherish you (This much I know it's true)

For the rest of my life

You don't have to think twice

I will (I'll always love you baby)

Love you still (This much my love it's true)

From the depths of my soul

It's beyond my control

I've waited so long to say this to you

If you're asking do I love you this much

"Jc, you just don't know how much you mean to me. How much this means to me. It's so perfect, and the reason its perfect is because you're here with me. I know that sounds corny, but its the truth, and its spoken from the heart."

Jc leaned down and kissed her lips lightly. "I know that you only speak from the heart, and that's what I love about you."

Yes I do

(I really love you) I do

(I really love you)

If you're asking do I love you this much

Baby I do (I'll cherish you my baby)

Cherish you (This much I know it's true)

From the depths of my soul

It's beyond my control

I've waited so long to say this to you

If you're asking me do I love you this much

Baby, I do

I do

When the song ended, they sat down, in each others arms. His hand rubbed gently over her arm, and she sighed at the peacefulness of the evening. That's when she remembered his gift. It was so small compared to this, but she hadn't known that he would be going all out for her. She stood up, and his eyes gave her a questioning look. "What are you doing?"

She smirked. "I'm going to give you your little present. Really, Jc, I mean I didn't know that you would be doing something this big. I feel bad now."

"Don't worry about it. I've got all that I'll ever need. I have you."

She smiled, and handed him the small box. "Remember, its nothing big."

He opened it up, and smiled. Inside was watch he had saw at the mall. He looked up at her and smiled. "I love it."

She blushed. "Well, there's more written on the back." She watched as he read the words that were inscribed. Always and Forever you'll hold my heart. Love you, "Shorty"

He stood up, and kissed her deeply on the lips. He laid the watch down on the table, and the two stumbled over to the bed, which had rose petals all over it. They fell back onto it, not breaking contact, and they showed each other how they felt in a deeper way.

"Are you going to tell me what he did now?" Stephanie asked Lance, as they exited the restaraunt they had been in.

Lance smiled, and shook his head. "You really can't wait to find out, can you?"

She nudged him with her shoulder. "You know you wanna tell me,..so come on! I know Justin and Denise probably know, and I wanna know. It's not fair. Don't be mean to me, Lance," she said, as she began to pout.

"Oh no, she's using the deadly weapon. Geez, stop...he sent her on a type of scavenger hunt, taking her to places that were special to them..then he bought her a diamond pendant shapped in a J and W, and to top it all off he sent a clue to Denise's telling her to keep Whitney there so she could get ready, and so that he could also put the finishing touches on the basement which he decorated with roses, candles, and butterflies. There are you happy?"

Stephanie smiled. "That sounds so sweet."

Lance groaned. "What is it with you girls and all this sweet crap. I think that I'm going to become the type that forgets important dates. I think you'll find that real attractive."

Stephanie snickered. "Heh, you better not start forgettng important dates....which reminds me...I think you are late for an important meeting right now."

Lance's eyebrows raised in confusion. "I am?"

She smiled evily, and kissed him on the lips. "Yeah, you're late for an important with me..but you know what I don't think I wanna have it in the office..how about we ahem discuss what we need to at ..hmm lets say your place?"

Lance smiled, and grabbed her hand. They briskly walked to his car. "Ohh..yeah ..duh how could I forget such an important things. Heh, I like the sound of us taking this to my place..on one condition though."

She grinned. "What's that?"

"I don't have to play fair, and its ok for things to get rough."

She laughed and nodded her head. "I wouldn't want it any other way."
