NICK CARTER- Gets beaten up by parents, schoolmates, and just about anyone else he comes across; 17; 6’1; pretty much what Nick Carter looks like now except with a few bruises and scratches here and there; always worried; distant sometimes; unusually quiet around people other than AJ and Erin.
AJ MCLEAN - Nick’s best friend, also Erin’s; 17; 5’10; has stuck with Nick no matter what anyone says; looks the same as AJ Mclean now except less piercing and tattoos; very humorous; worries about Nick and Erin a lot; not afraid of what anyone else thinks; a little more serious than Erin.
ERIN WILLIAMSON - Also Nick’s best friend; also AJ’s; also has stuck with Nick; 17; curly red hair; green eyes; kind of tall, 5’10; also very humorous; adventurous; has a gold necklace that has a heart with diamonds on half of it that she wears all the time that Nick and AJ bought her for a birthday present.
JAKE TAYLOR - Erin’s boyfriend; not very nice to AJ or Nick, especially not Nick; has a bunch of friends that beats Nick up, and lies to Erin if she talks to him about it; very mean; blond hair, spiked; green eyes; tall 6’1; 17; doesn’t like Erin being with AJ and Nick; has threatened to hurt Erin if she breaks up with him.
PAUL BOWMEN - Sort of a friend of Jake’s; nice; humorous; doesn’t like Jake all that much; becomes a good friend of AJ, Nick, and Erin; 6’3; 17; dirty blond hair; spiked; blue eyes.
SETTING - In Warsaw Indiana; on a lake; lake houses; all characters live by lake; Erin, Nick and AJ, usually get together on a boat or in Erin’s attic.
