“Okay, calm down Chels. She’s your friend… why are you so nervous?” Silvia asked Chelsea.

“I don’t know Sil! It’s not a big deal, right?”

“Nope, we’re only flying half way across the world to pick up some extremely expensive designer clothes we ordered.”

“Sil.” Chelsea rolled her eyes.

“Okay, okay! So we’re only going to Orlando. Can’t a girl let her mind wander?” Silvia grinned knowingly. Chelsea returned the smile and took a deep breath and walked towards Willow. Tossing her medium length, light brown hair back, she noticed that Willow was surrounded by quite a few guys. No wonder she thought. Willow was wearing a tight tank top and flares. It was against the school regulations to show some skin, but no one really cared.

“Hey Chels!” Willow greeted cheerily as she saw Chelsea making her way to her.

Chelsea forced a smile, “Hey Will. Um, can I talk to you for a second?”

“Sure! About what?” She did a little wave and all the people started walking away.

“Okay, I was wondering if you would wanna come with Silvia and I to Orlando to meet the Backstreet Boys…” Chelsea trailed off, wondering what Willow’s reaction would be.

“That’s great! I’ve always been a fan of them! Thank you Chelsea!” Willow hugged her, “Thank you.” Chelsea grinned happily. She did the ‘ok’ sign to Silvia and hugged Willow back. The new professor walked in and everybody began to sit down at a seat. Chelsea began to walk away but Willow stopped her, “Sit with me,” she urged. Chelsea sat down uncertainly.

Oh well, she thought Silvia will be fine by herself Chelsea reassured herself as she noticed a few cute guys sitting themselves next to her.

The day seemed to drag on forever but finally, it had ended. Silvia waited for Chelsea after school under the Oak tree like they had planned. She was feeling excited. Her old crush ha asked her out and Silvia couldn’t wait to tell Chelsea the news. She saw Chelsea come around the corner and she lit up a smile, but when she saw Willow following closely behind her, her heart sank. She leaned back against the tree and waited for Chelsea to approach. She didn’t know why, but she just didn’t like Willow and she felt that Willow wasn’t the sort of friend she needed. To her, Willow just seems to be too cool, too hard to approach. She didn’t even know her. Now that she was with Chelsea, she couldn’t tell the news to Silvia. She didn’t know what Willow would think. Silvia didn’t understand why Chelsea had chosen her to go to Orlando with them, Chelsea had never like Willow until very recently. Although Chelsea had changed, they had still remained best friends, or she thought.

“Hey Sil!” Willow greeted Silvia like an old friend. She waved to her.

“Hey,” she replied. She forced a smile.

Chelsea could see that Silvia didn’t like Willow, although Chelsea had wanted her to. Willow wasn’t that bad at all. She wasn’t at all hard to approach or anything that they had thought she was. Until only recently, Chelsea had never known that she would be so close to such a popular girl. “Uh, why don’t we start heading to the station?” Chelsea suggested. The silence was broken.

“Yeah, sure, let’s go!” Willow said enthusiastically. The trio looked around for a taxi and got in it. “Hey Silvia, do you like alternative music?”

“Yeah,” Silvia answered simply.

“Um, you like Korn and Eminem? Stuff like that anyway.”

“Oh yeah!” This had got caught of Silvia’s interest. “They are so cool but Chelsea hates them. Have you heard…”

Chelsea smiled as the two girls continued to chat non-stop. Maybe it wasn’t going to be hard for Silvia and Willow to be good friends after all.

“Hey, you guys. Do you wanna hit the shopping malls?” Willow asked after they had gotten everything they needed for the trip. They would be leaving the next week. “I need some new clothes, you know, I’ve got to make a good impression and everything.”

“Yeah, let’s go!” Silvia agreed, “We could go to Fairview mall. Besides, I want to get this new CD, and maybe we could check out some clothes as well.”

“Nah, you guys go. I promised mom I’d be back by six thirty.”

“You sure Chels? You don’t know what you’re missing!”

“Yeah I’m sure. You guys go.” Chelsea smiled as she started to leave. Everything was turning out perfect.
