“Hey sis!” Lisa called out to her twin sister, Liza, who was in the bathroom at that moment. Lisa sat on her sister’s bed, “I heard that there’s gonna be a new guy in school on Monday!”
“And?” Liza asked sounded unconcerned, came out of the bathroom and sat on her bed next to Lisa.
“Well, aren’t you curious? Maybe he’s really hot.” Lisa suggested enthusiastically and thought about the soon-to-be new student’s appearance, “Tall, cute…”
“No… I’m not into that kind of stuff, I’m too busy concentrating on school right now.” Liza laid down and stared up at the ceiling. Lisa did the same. Both girls were exactly identical. Brown hair, green eyed, tall and had a perfect figure with a dimple on their left cheek. But that was where the similarities ended, both girls had the exact opposite personalities. Liza, who was studious and quiet who always got good marks in school. She was popular, but not as popular as her sister. She cares little for fashion, as long as she thinks she looks good, then it’s what she’s wearing. Lisa, was the exact opposite. The mall was practically her second home. For her, getting a C on a test was already a high achievement. Never cares to study, never does her homework until the last minute. She was popular as well, she considers Liza’s friends as boring ‘old cows’. Her favorite subject was practically ‘guys’.
“Liz… you need to get yourself a guy! Like me, I always get asked out. I don’t have to worry about weekends at home brooding. Maybe this new guy will be the right one for you, that is, if he’s not right for me.”
“How generous of you.” Liza rolled her eyes.
“No seriously Liz. Don’t you feel left out? Look at yourself, look in your wardrobe. Those clothes were practically mom and dad’s clothes when they were young! When was that? Like, 1960’s or something?”
“Hey! You worked out a math equation! I didn’t realize you knew when mom and dad were born, or how old they are now.” Liza teased.
“I know how to work out a simple addition math equation!”
“It’s subtraction.”
“Whatever! Anyway, my point is that you need to get in fashion! Look at your dresser. Anything different from mine?”
“Yeah, you can see the surface of the table and on yours you, can’t.”
“That’s not what I meant!” Lisa stood up and started pulling things out of Liza’s closet and throwing them onto the blue carpeted floor.
“Hey! What do you think you’re doing?”
“Getting you a new wardrobe. You’re coming with me to the mall tomorrow sis.”
“What am I gonna wear tomorrow then?”
“Uh…” Lisa hesitated, “You can borrow my clothes then. There is no way you’re gonna step out of this house in those ugly things again.”
“What a great compliment on my taste in clothes,” Liza said sarcastically.
“There! I’m done!” Lisa stood back and beamed happily at her creation. A huge pile of clothes laid before her.
“Oh my… oh great, now my room looks like yours!”
“Hey! I’m honored. I’ll see you tomorrow morning sis, we’re leaving early ‘cause we’re doing some major shopping…”
