“Wake up!” Lisa called out cheerily as she barged into the sunny room of Liza’s.
“Geez…” Liza yawned, “I didn’t expect you to be up at this hour. What time is it anyway?”
“Seven a.m.”
“WHAT? SEVEN A.M.? Are you out of your mind Lis? We’re going shopping, not training to climb Mount Everest.” Liza pulled the covers over her head and began to sleep again.
Lisa grabbed onto the blanket, “Stop it! Wake up now! We have a lot of stuff to do today. First you have to take a bath, don’t wash your hair though ‘cause we’re getting a haircut, then I’ll choose an ideal outfit to wear from my closet, after THAT, I’ll get some light make up on you and THEN we’re set to go.”
“That’ll only take like, an hour.”
“No it won’t. Because you’re taking a BUBBLE bath, and I’m choosing something EXTREMELY sophisticated for you to wear and then I’ll get some REALLY COOL make up on you. After that, we’re repeating this procedure with me. Which will take about 3 hours which will be ten after that and then a half an hour trip to the mall and we start our mission at approximately 10:30.” Lisa informed her formally.
“You make it sound like mission impossible.” Liza groaned as she stood up and walked slowly to the bathroom which connected to Lisa’s room. “And you forgot one thing Lis.”
“What?” Lisa asked curiously as if she couldn’t have made a mistake.
“I have to ‘brush my teeth’.” Liza replied sarcastically as she shut the door to the bathroom.
Lisa rolled her eyes and sighed, “This isn’t as easy as I thought it would be…”

“First stop, the hairdressers!” Lisa beamed happily as she stood outside the crowded salon. She turned around to see Liza far behind her. Rolling her eyes, she pulled Liza’s arm and led her inside the shampoo-smelling barber.
“How may I help you?” A man with dyed gold hair asked them when they entered. He was medium height and had scruffy clothing. In his pockets held scissors, clips and all sorts of hair accessories.
“Yeah,” Lisa said quickly before Liza could say anything, “She’d like a haircut.”
“With wash and blow?”
“Yep.” Lisa replied confidently.
“Please sit and wait for a moment.” With that, he left to the counter and started scribbling furiously onto a pad. He returned and clipped the paper onto Liza.
“I feel like a ‘to-go’ dinner,” Liza stated looking down at the piece of paper that was clipped onto her shoulder.
“Oh sis! I know you don’t like this idea but you have to have some change in your life sometime! Now, have you thought of what haircut you want to get?”
“Um…” Liza thought for a moment. She didn’t want to disappoint Lisa.
“Guess not. Well, I have. Some layer and cut shorter your bangs so that it is too long to dangle in your eyes and too short to put behind your ears.”
Before Liza could comment on Lisa’s plan, Lisa had already pulled her to a guy that was motioning them to come over. It was the same man that had greeted them at the door.
“Lie down please,” He told Liza to lie down onto a green tilted chair with a sink at the head of it. The man lifted her hair and put it into the sink where he turned on the tap.
“Is this temperature okay?” He asked politely.
“Uh… yeah, it’s fine,” Liza stammered.
After a few massages and rinses, Liza’s hair was clean. It smelt of strawberry and flowers. The man led Liza out to some chairs facing the mirrors. Liza sat down on one of them and the man started brushing her hair while talking to her.
“How do you want to cut it?”
That’s when Lisa came bounding into the scenario. She walked quickly to the man and repeated what she had told Liza earlier. The man nodded and pulled out his scissors. Snip, snip, snip. The scissors cut like an alligators jaw. Snap, snap, snap. After what seemed like 6 hours, the man finally finished cutting Liza’s hair and blew it.
“Wow! You look great!” Lisa exclaimed when the man had finished blow-drying Liza’s hair.
“Do I? I must admit, getting a haircut isn’t that bad.”
“Yes, you look great. Now would you kindly follow me to the counter for the payments?” The man asked and led them once more to the cashier.
“That would be $ ______.” (Author’s Note: Whatever you want the cost to be. I don’t want there to be any misunderstanding about the currencies and stuff… y’know what I mean.) A woman with thick glasses said and held her hand out. Lisa paid her and pulled Liza out the door.
