Precious had hunched down over her Math homework that made her a complete dumb. It was a usual Precious doing her homework you could see. Especially if it was Maths. The sudden ring of phone flipped her out.

“Hello?”

“Hey wassup girl?” she heard Nick's joyful voice.

“Are you still alive?”

Two weeks had passed since they’ve last seen each other. Even though Jane and Aylin met frequently, they didn’t need to ask about each other. And if it’s necessary to talk about Nick’s side, he couldn’t have dared calling her again, after the fight he and Mandy had after that night. Now Mandy was on the other side of the world and Nick thought it would be great to talk with Precious again. Even though he decided to forget, he had realized that he needed her as a friend.

“It’s nice to talk you, too.” He replied back sarcastically.

“Ha ha funny Nick, I’d thought you were on tour or something.”

“Nah, I’m still hanging around here.”

“So what have you been up to?” he continued.

“Dealing with a major crisis.” She answered dryly.

“What happened?” Nick asked concernly.

“Just this disgusting Maths homework.” She answered again dryly.

“Geez girl, i guessed it was something important.”

“It’s important! I hate Maths! Oh, but you got over all of them two years ago, didn’t ya?”

“Yup, i’m the lucky one. But don’t worry, you’re gonna get over them soon.”

“I still have three years to escape from high school.” She murmured.

“Three years?! Girl, how old are you?!”

“I’m 15, why did you ask?”

“15?! Just 15?! Oh my God, i thought you were 18 or at least 17...”

“What are you talking about? Didn’t I tell you my age?”

“No, i guess...girl we talked everything but age.” He gave a small laugh.

“Then,you learned.”

“Wait a minute, I’m still in a daze...Whatever..Would you like to do something together tonight?” he asked hoping no obstacles would appear.

“I’d love to! Especially after this damn thing. It’ll help me refresh myself. But I warn you, I’ll be the dumbest girl you’ve ever seen for an hour just cos of this damn thing!”

“I think I can handle a girl like this.” She heard his cackle.

“Well then, when will you come over?”

“Around seven i guess. You sure is it alright for Aylin and Erdal?”

“Course, in fact they won’t be at home tonight. And they were about to have a heart attack when they saw me studying.” She answered back.

“Then that’s settled.”

“Yup, bye bye.”

“Bye.”

Just as she hung up the phone, it started ringing again. Frustrated she answered it in an impatient tone.

“Hey cow!” this time it was Eve.

“What do you want?”

“It’s nice to talk to you, too.” She replied sarcastically. “It’s obvious that you’re fighting with Maths.”

“You’re right.” She mumbled and looked down to a trigonometry question miserably.

“Hey Prec, how does a girls night out sound? Or a night out at the gorgeous guys’ café?”Eve offered.

“Sorry eve but I have plans.” Precious apologized.

“Girl, you’re not going out with us for the last two weeks.” She replied reproachfully.

Knowing it would relent her, said she grinning.

“Nah, I have a date.”

Eve almost dropped the phone, and also her jaw.

“Wha...what...what are you talking about?” she stammered.

“’I have a date’ I said.”

“With who? Where? No, wait, I’ll be right there in a few minutes.” And she hung up.

Precious smiled evilly. She wouldn’t believe this.

15 minutes later, Engurlu couple saw a girl dressed in jeans at the front door, ringing the bell impatiently.

3 seconds later, the same girl stormed into Precious’ room without knocking.

“Spill everything.” Eve said out of breath.

“I didn’t hear you knocking the door.”

“Cut the heck and tell me what’s going on.” Eve said slumping to Precious’ comfortable couch.

“What do you want me to tell?” she smirked.

“Start!”

“Okay, but it’s a long story.” She warned her.

“Promptly!”

“Do you remember the David story?”

“Yup, that guy you ran into at the mall.”

“yeah and me calling Nick David?”

“Don’t tell me you’re gonna go out with Nick Carter tonight.”

Precious looked down to her hands clunching her teddy bear.

“Well, yes, actually I am.”

As soon as those words dropped out of her mouth, her ears met with a squeal. She had to cover them with her hands.

“Hey Eve, have you ever thought to be a soprano? You and Pavorotti’d be a cool couple.” She muttered.

“Shut up!”

“Chill out Eve, it’s not a big deal...” she tried to say before eve started yelling.

“What? You’re telling me it’s not a big deal huh? Are you nuts girl?”she collapsed back to couch. “I wanna hear the rest of the story.” As Precious continued telling the rest of it, Eve listened to her in awe, couldn’t believe her own ears.

“Girl, I don’t know what to say...it’s like a movie.” Eve managed to mumble when Preicous’d done.

“There’s nothing big Eve...we will just go out and don’t forget we’re just friends.”

“You have to admit, you love him”

“No I’m not.”

“Yes you are. It’s obviously seen girl, you love him. When you started telling, your eyes sparkled and everytime you mentioned his name, I saw a gleam going through all over your face.”

“I don’t know Eve...I’m not sure...I do have a feeling for him but I’m not supposed to love, I just shouldn’t...It’s quirky, just quirky.”

“Don’t afraid to love Prec.” Eve said relented to her friend’s situation.

“I’m sure you’ll get your feelings after tonight but now we’re gonna impress him.” Eve continued as she stood up and opened the doors of closet.

“Eve I told ya, it’s not a big deal.” Precious started whining.

“Shut up your loud mouth and come here.” She retorted as she started picking some clothes.

*****Meanwhile*****

“Hey Brian, how about this?” Nick hold up a blue sweatshirt.

Brian looked up from his magazine and sighed.

“Nicky, this is the tenth sweatshirt you’re showing and it’s the tenth time I’m saying the same thing!”

“I know, i know...But anyways, how about this one?” he hold the pale blue/white straped one.

Brian put the mag down and looked at his friend fiercely.

“Don’t expect a reply.”

“Thanx Frick, I was thinking that one’s better.”

“Why are you so sensitive about your clothes? I mean, from what I heard from you, it’s just a night out with a friend.” Nick smirked himself in the mirror.

“But...the point I wanna learn is Frack, who’s she?” Brian continued.

“I dunno...i really dunno Frick.”

“Bad liar.”

“I AM NOT A LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Nick turned around and yelled.

Brian ignored his overeacting and continued looking through his new Teen People mag. He came across with a familiar face on the page and read the name.

“Hey Frack, isn’t this the girl you've met at fan conference?” he asked as he lifted up the mag and showed the picture.

Nick gave a quick glance and nodded.

“Name: Precious. A model. Hmm...strange name.”

“Yup, she ain’t American, she’s turkish and uses her nickname.”

“ Good body but...”

“Yeah.” Nick started smirking again.

“Do you know how old is she?

“Yup.”

“She’s just 15!” Brian was amazed as his eyes widened when he read her age.

“She looks older, doesn’t she?”

“She’s too young!!!”

“Does it matter? She’s my friend.”

“You like her, don’t ya?” Brian questioned him.

“No I don’t.”

“Don’t start lying again...”

“I’m not a liar okay? I’m not sure about my feelings towards her, that’s all!” he yelled.

“Why’s that anger?”

The slump of her shoulders, was showing his penitence. He collapsed on to couch, next to Brian.

“You mind mixed up?” he asked slowly.

“Yeah, i guess...I like her, not in a romantic way, more like a friend. But when I’m with her, I feel like I’m cheating on Mandy. Then I feel myself guilty. I hate this. I decided to forget her but she popped in my life again, it wasn’t her fault though, nor mine. It was a ‘coincedence” as she said. And I couldn’t help but call after Mandy left. On the other hand, she’s really good to me and I know she sees me as a friend...”

“Then you needn’t worry...”

“Yeah but...” he placed his head between his hands. “I’m afraid that my fellings towards her, will change...what if they will? I don’t even wanna think that...I can’t handle my feelings with her...”

Brian knew he couldn’t do anything for him. It was a problem that only Nick could solve.

“Thanx for listening bud, I better go.” Nick said with a deep sigh.

Brian didn’t say anything but followed him outside.

“Hey Frack!” he said when Nick hopped into the driver’s seat.

“Just go for what your brain and heart tell you to.” After saying that, a light smile gleamed on Nick’s beautiful face. Then he shut the door and pulled up.

Brian looked from his behind till the sight of the big black Corvette faded inside the crowded Orlando streets and then he sighed.

“Go my bud...Go to your true love.”

*****Precious’*****

Eve looked at her creativity proudly.

“Now, you can emerge.” She sighed. “It might have taken a bit long, but it’s worth. It’s too bad that Aylin went out to dinner, she’d be proud of me if she saw you like that.”

Precious was staring her with the most evil look she could ever give. Eve even had put on some make-up! It was a total torture!

She was wearing her knee-length white skirt and her baby blue tube top with her white platform sandals. Her hair was loose like everytime.

“You look damn sexy. Nick will go head-over-heels.” Eve said still can’t take her eyes from her.

“Sorry Eve but I’m always dressing like that. Besides, I don’t think I’m sexy.” She moaned. Inwardly, she was thanking Eve and Eve knew that. Precious was just nervous, that’s all.

“Not mention baggy jeans.”

“Why didn’t you make peace with my jeans yet? I couldn’t get it...”

“Stop whining Prec, he’ll be here any minute.” Eve glanced her watch.

“I AM the one who’s gonna go out with Nick, why are you getting impatient?”

“I feel you in my soul...” she smirked.

“He’s here!” She squealed when she heard the doorbell and ran downstairs but pretended to be cool when she saw the silhouette from the iced glass of the front door. Opening the huge door, she saw what she wanted to see: A tall handsome guy.

Nick seemed a bit nervous, he hoped to see the Engurlu couple, but the black girl smiling at him wasn’t a hint of them.

“Hi” she said vivaciously.

“Uhm...is Precious...”

“Yeah she’ll be here right now, why don’t you come on in?” Eve interrupted him as she ushered him in.

When Nick saw Precious coming near them, he held his breath. This girl was looking damn sexy. Eve realized it as she studied Nick’s face. Love was written all over it which made her laugh quietly. Was it a chance that her best friend has a world famous blind lover behind her?

“So you guys are going out...” she needed to say cos the two were just smiling each other stupidly. They nodded.

“So...go out!” she said when she saw they didn’t even move a bit.

“Oh..ok...but what will you do here Eve?” Precious was finally came back to normal.

“I dunno...Probably jimmy your belongings.”

“Okay then, don’t read my diary!” she warned her as she and nick headed outside.

“If it pops up by accident, it doesn’t have any chance.” She winked at them.

“Don’t!” Precious warned her once again.

“Have fun!” Eve yelled and waved sweetly when they hopped into the car.

“You must be really close.” Said Nick. It was his first full sentence.

“Yup we are, she’s my best friend here.”

“She’s really nice and sweet.”

“Thanx, I’ll tell her this, she loves getting compliments.”

The two stopped to eat something at McDonalds and talked about themselves before going to a movie. After many indecisions, they decided to see Scream3, pardon Nick decided this, using his secret weapon, puppy dog eyes, for his insistences. Nothing helped Precious escape, even her fear of horror movies. And till she found a better excuse, she found herself screaming, her head on his shoulder, eyes closed, hands clunched Nick’s arm tightly. On the other hand, Nick did like it, a girl leaning over his shoulder and he had bursted out laughing to the funny speeches she made throughout the movie. He was still laughing his head off when it finished.

“Girl, I’ve never laughed that much in a horror movie before.” He wiped a tear from his eye.

“Ha-ha, very funny Carter, that movie took the shit out of me.” She grumbled pouting.

“But you were really funny, if only i had taken a photo of you with your jaw dropped open and your eyes bugged out of their sockets.” Said he imitating her.

Precious punched his arm lightly and started to laugh.

“You see, you were really funny.” Nick stated.

“Shuddup man.” She said laughing as Nick continued imitating her.

Just at that time a girl near her 15s, approached them. She was looking nervous.

“Hey.” she said slowly.

“Hi.” Nick greeted her with his famous smile.

“Um...are you Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys?” she asked nervously.

“Yeah, I’m supposed to be.” Nick as giving her his famous half smile.

Then girl turned around and waved to her friend who was waiting impatiently.

“Hi nick, I’m Melissa and this is my friend Elizabeth. We’ve been your fans for over 2 years, especially you.” She said half hesitated, half coyly. And Nick continued chatting with them. She could see tat girls were drooling over him. And Nick’s glance told everything to her, he had already realized that they were drooling over him. He was experienced!

The next fifteen minutes spent Nick with two girls, giving autographs, taking photos and chatting while Precious waited him patiently looking at the posters of the movies.

“Sorry girls but I gotta go, I negliced my friend, it was nice to meet ya.” Nick apologized, wanting to get out of there without getting mobbed more.

“Isn’t she the girl on the cover of Teen People?” Elizabeth asked to her friend who nodded feverishly.

“Are you two going out?” Melissa asked curiously but more jealously. And of course, this question turned Nick into a crimson red.

“Nah, we’re just close friends. I hadn’t seen her for a long time so we decided to spend sometime together, that’s all.”

After girls are finally satisfied with Nick, they set him free. With a sudden feeling, Nick reached and held Precious’ hand when they were walking to the parking lot. Astonished, she let him do that, she kinda liked it.

On their way home, Precious was again quiet, which made her more sexy than ever. With a quick glance to her Nick felt a strong urge to kiss her passionately. As hard as he tried getting rid of it, it increased in his mind, covered his heart and body completely.

When they reached to her house, she smiled sweetly. “Thanx Nick, I’ve enjoyed very much tonight.” He smiled back, couldn’t take the idea off of his mind. “Precious...” he mumbled as he leaned over her.

She felt what he would do. Afraid of it, not of it, afraid of falling in love, she mumbled a quick goodbye, and got off the car. She ran down the pathway without glancing back.

Appalled, Nick blew a fist to the steering wheel. Damn! She was afraid!
