Precious glanced the big ball room. She saw her friends over in a corner and waved to them as she tried to made her way towards them, being stopped in every second by another famous face, taking compliments and thanking each one of them.

Nick looked through the crowd to see someone familiar when his eyes stuck on a middle-aged woman. Immediately recognising her face, he couldn’t believe his own eyes but to his luck, his friends and some reporters surrounded him.

Later that night, ‘someone’, ‘accidentally’ bumped into him. The woman lifted her head up to face him, and her chocolate eyes widened. “Oh my god...” she stuttered.

“Hi.” Nick managed to say, swallowing the yelp of his melted heart. He was still in love with this woman after all those years. And from what he saw from her eyes, he could tell she was feeling the same.

“You hadn’t lost anything from your clumsiness.” He said with a painful smile.

Her heart ached as her eyes watered. He was gorgeous for an old man. He must be 47.

“It seems years didn’t take anything from you.” She mumbled.

“So from you.”

“Mom!” both turned around to see the voice’s owner. Nick saw a girl at her 17s, approaching them.

“Yes hon?”

“Mom, you won’t believe this! My boyfriend is here! He hadn’t told me anything about coming here but he’s over there!” she said excitedly pointing a bunch of guys.

“Honey, wait a minute, I want you to meet with a friend of mine!” Precious yelled behind her.

“Later! I want him to meet with ya!” she yelled while walking towards the guys.

“She has your enthusiasm.” Nick said smiling at how young girl looked exactly like her beautiful mother.

“Thanx.” Precious said. “Her name’s Nacre.”

He searched her fingers for the sign of marriage and saw the golden ring shining in her left hand.

“So what have you been up to?” she asked when she realized he was staring her left hand.

“Nothing...I met with the guys frequently and maybe you’ve heard that I now have a small company that inspires young artists.” He added then. “Ain’t ya doing modelling?”

“Don’t you think I’m old for it? I transferred my place to my little baby. Now she’s fave of producers.”

“Even at the age of 42, you still look beautiful.”

“Nick don’t start again...” she begged.

“Start what?” he hissed. “I still love you and I know Precious you aren’t empty at all. Don’t try to deny, Eve told me evrything after our big fight. We’re both married, there’s nothing we can do right now, but know that, there hasn’t been any time that I didn’t think of you. You can’t understand the feeling I had whenever I saw you in a magazine or on TV. Now you’re looking at me like the first time you had, 27 years ago. The same look on your eyes you have when I told you that I love you.” He looked down. She was sure he was trying to hide his tears. She couldn’t say anything. How could she? SHE was the one guilty.

“Mom! Let me introduce you my boyfriend.” Nacre’s joyful voice got rid of the emotional intensity between Nick and Precious.

“Hi.” Young boy greeted her hesitantly.

“Brian?” Nick said, shocked.

“Dad?”

“What’s goin’ on here?” Precious asked, confused.

“From what I got, my boyfriend is your friend’s son, mommy!” Nacre said smiling.

Nick and Precious just looked at each other desperately which caused the young lovers bursting out laughing.
