He didn’t know what to say. He was facing a stray, lost girl that looked as if she needed serious help with her life. He couldn’t just leave her there, with no one to take care of her. Already, he felt that he had a special bondage with her. He tried to clear his thoughts and made a quick decision, not caring whether it was a good one or not, “You’re coming with me,” he said quietly to her. Quiet, but determined. The guys behind looked at each other in alarm, wondering what Nick was getting himself into. Kevin, being the oldest, pulled him into a corner with the other guys away from the strange girl that they barely know.
“What do you think you’re doing?” he hissed angrily.
“I can’t explain Kev. All I know is that I can’t go on without her.”
Kevin took a deep breath and tried to answer calmly, “But Nick, you don’t even know her. She might be a serial killer or something!”
“Well I guess we’ll be taking that chance.”
Kevin looked into Nick’s eyes and saw that he wasn’t playing around like he normally does. There was something different with them. A determination that he has never seen before, never thought that Nick could have. Respecting his decision, he finally said, “I hope you know what you’re doing, ‘cause if anything happens to her, it’s going to be your responsibility.”

“You’re coming with me.”
She blinked back in surprise. She couldn’t believe her own ears. There as her angel, standing directly in front of her, asking her to go away with him. She didn’t know how to react. She didn’t know what to say. It was too sudden. She would love to say, ‘I’d love to!’ but deep in her heart, she knew that it couldn’t happen. Not to her at least. Her eyes drifted to the carpeted floor.
He saw that movement. Was he being turned down? “Are you alright?” he asked as he held onto one of her thin hands.
She glanced up at him, her eyes brimming with tears. “I wish I could Nick, I really wish I could,” she pulled her hand away and walked out the room. Nick gazed after her, having the urge to run after her but Kevin pulled onto his sleeve.
“Don’t be impulsive Nick.”
He let out sigh as he watched her disappear. Why is she so important to me? I’ve barely known her for an hour, yet I feel, almost attached… I know it was stupid of me to ask her to come along… but I felt as if I needed to. Like I had to… will I ever see her again?

That was extremely foolish of myself. Why did I say no? I should have ignored that sinking feeling inside me and went along with him. Now I may never see him again she scolded herself. She hid around a corner and saw her angel walk out the hotel, as if nothing had happened. As if nothing special had happened. He seemed to shine out from anybody in the crowd. She waited until they got into the Limousine waiting outside the hotel and drive away. She walked out to where the vehicle was and watched it getting smaller and smaller in the distance, knowing that she may never see her angel again.

He stared out the tinted windows, and caught glance of a mane of slick black hair. It was her. His heart wanted to reach out and beckon her to him. But his mind would not let him do so. He wondered if she was watching his every single move. He thought again, tinted windows and gave a sigh of relief. He didn’t want her to know that he was looking at her. He turned back to face the front when he could no longer see her. Brian tapped him on the shoulder. He turned sideways to look at him.
“What’s up?”
“Nothing,” Nick mumbled and said nothing else, “I just have this feeling about her,” he said a few minutes later. He paused to think and then continued on thoughtfully, “I don’t know what it is, but it’s so strong, I’m scared of it. It’s like we know each other or something.”
“Freaky.”
“Tell me about it.”
“So, you guys seemed kind of preoccupied. Kind of like, sucked into each other, what’s up with that then?”
“I don’t know. When I asked her to stay with us, I meant it. I didn’t know what I was doing, all I knew was that it felt right. I couldn’t just leave her there, I couldn’t lose her. Now I’ll never see her again. Promise me something Brian.”
“What?”
“Promise me that we’ll come back here, after the tour.”
“That will be in a long time Nick. I can’t guarantee you anything yet.”
“Just promise me. I have to see her again, even if it’s one year later or whatever. I don’t care.” Nick insisted tonelessly.
“But you might not even see her,” Brian pointed out, “She might have gone someplace else and even if she did stay in London, it’s so crowded, you’ll never find her. Besides, this tour would be fun, we’d see a lot of new faces along the way. Maybe there would be one that you would particularly like?” he asked teasingly.
But Nick didn’t smile, he glanced away and promised him solemnly, “No one will ever take her place.”
