Chapter 2

"I don't know Lance. It just seems like, I don't know, the whole time I was with her, like, I was just wishing on someone else's lucky star and thats why none of my wishes really came true. You know? Like of all the stars in the sky I just chose the wrong one." Chris explained his bandmate Lance Bass over the phone.

"But Chris, did you ever think that maybe it wasn't the wrong star you picked but the wrong girl? I mean, no offence, but you two had everything in common and it was only a matter of time before one of you got bored with the other." Lance's deep voice answered thoughtfully.

"Yeah. I did think of that. I've thought of alot of things in the past week and a half but why did it have to be HER getting bored with ME? Why didn't she just wait around a little while? Why couldn't it have been ME getting bored first?" Chris asked as his voice cracked and he found that once again he was on the brink of simply breaking down.

"I don't know, Chris, but I really wish you had. But seriously? I think she probably just needed to ,you know, move on to the next part of her life." Lance replied.

"Without me." Chris sighed sadly.

"Yes, Chris, unfortunatly without you. It's probably about time for you to start doing the same. To start moving on too." Lance said.

"You're probably right but I just don't think I'm ready for that yet. Listen, I gotta go do something but I'll talk to you later. Bye." Chris reluctantly agreed

"Okay, bye." Lance nodded and hung up the phone.
